You can't take repulsive to 3... the most I could take it when I tried is 5 or 6 times. And the myth about mobs attacking you based on charisma are false, they attack based on the order you entered the room, and/or when you entered the realm compared to others in the group.
There's no edge-benefit for taking repulsive, as the imms have said on the official forums, so don't expec
It says in the helpfile evade is very unlikely to raise with the skill learn, but my current character has evade at freaken 97%. Every single point has come from level ups. So it's definitely helped me. Now, my last 5 or 6 characters that did this were lucky to see one skill gain in evade, but this one is really reaping the benefits of skill learn.
I found it raised damage a noticeable amount once your target got to writhing or so. It only really made a difference in fights I would have probably won otherwise, though. But more damage is always good.
I think I've already proven to myself I don't have the time, energy or creativity to start a big character like I did on the last few purges. Low-key characters seem to be my thing nowadays.
I've had a provost, two provincials, a justiciar and a vindie in the last couple of years. I had the leader con/aging as a provost/provincial since it was tied to induct, and lost it when I took the vindie/justiciar posts.
I don't think you are going to have much luck here, there's more factored into edges than a simple database will be able to account for such as:
Diminishing returns for experience as it relates to edge points. When you earn edge points, that makes earning more take more experience in a non-linear formula or some kind
Certain edges only are available when your stats meet particular c
Yeah, I have one source that nobody else is tapping. It's rather inconvenient to get to, however, so I rarely use it unless I'm facing almost certain death.
Ah well, maybe I'll barter for more limited locations, as I've come across a ton of limited auras and shields in my most recent hunt. Thanks for the idea.
I'm playing my fourth mage since the wand-location changes, and have run into a dilemma with wands. I have my aura and shield, but can't for the life of me find my barrier (after nearly 50,000 observation experience and 200 hours).
On previous characters, barrier seemed to be the easiest. Now, I'm fearing it might be in an explore area I am not familiar with and am not well-suit
However your foe dies, the AP will get a charge for it if he directly caused it as long as the unholy weapon is in his main hand. Even if a weapon in the offhand makes the kill, the charge still goes into whatever unholy weapon is in the main hand.
The death can occur from being whacked with said weapon, an iceball blasting you into icecubes, having your victim teleport and die to bleeding/poi
Transmuters get some decent mileage from it as well, with the right weapon and foes, pugil can put out some mean damage while saving mana (especially undead when you have a silver/wrathing staff, since most muter spells are worthless against them anyway). It's also good to whip out when deafened or in anti-magic rooms.
Would your rather carry 2 sleek wands your inventory? Or stockpile two limited two-charge talismen, 3 limited scrolls, 2 limited 2-charge wands, 4 limited potions etc tying up your fucking inventory with the same benefit? And getting all these things can take hours of running around and waiting for repops.
The benefit is, sleeks are always in (assuming you can find them), have a fair number or
On my initial throwaway wand-using char after the wand changes, I was able to find aura and barrier sleeks almost as soon as I could use them, with little effort. At the time, limited shield wands were plentiful. This was a char I should have kept and taken more seriously.
On my next 4 wand-using chars this year I really wanted to succeed in, where I had over a hundred hours invested each and
I just logged in to get the following message:
BONUS EXP: Carrion Fields is currently giving out 100% experience bonus!
No sign of any announcements or note on the official site. Get it while it lasts I guess.
I have a strange urge to roll up a char that's a ranger-hunter and extremely difficult to bearcharge just to give you and the other bearcharge-spammers of the game some competition.
It's a good thing I'm lazy, or you'd be in big trouble.
A human conjurer will never, ever find situations where he would say to himself "Man, I will I was a half-elf/drow instead".
The number of times you will wish you had been a human instead of a halfie will be numerous. May as well save yourself the trouble, the slight increase in int and wis is not worth the XP and other penalties.
I thought Zulg said he addressed the blunt-immunity problem that in this posting. Was this not fixed so the immune_blunt mobs were no longer an "I Lose" button verses certain shifters?
Seems to have spawned an overnight gaggle of annoying throwaway chars at the hero ranks, though. Hopefully they'll delete once they get bored or get killed enough by vets.
Hey, no fair... you already humiliated me enough the first couple of times you posted this! I did so many things wrong here.... thank goodness for leader con, it was a race to see whether I would age die or con die first. This was not one of my trademark overly-cautious thieves.
I've had what I thought were pretty good roles on chars over the last three or four months, and it's been taking longer to get less exp than before... typically around 1-2 weeks to get the minimum exp. I take it that either the standards have been tightened up due to too much freely-flowing experience before, or the normal imms that used to enjoy reading roles before are no longer able
