It may not be as sexy as a gator, but it gets the job done, especially against vuln_blunt races. It's not uncommon to get oblits versus the svirf king.
Thunderstomp=earthquake

He means that archons won't sanct you if you are just standing around not fighting. If you summon and attack a mephit, then the Archon will probably use sanctuary on you before the mephit dies, so you can survive in the next, harder fight longer.
If a mage has a sleek load on an object in the room, and he walks by triggering it without realizing it, the sleek will stay there until somebody else happens across it.
I was really ticked when I found a really easy sleek spot that way and couldn't ever get it to pop again, figuring out later it belonged to somebody else.
More people are posting more roles that obviously scream "I need edgez!" As a result, interest in giving out experience has declined. Roles are essentially an indirect way of begging the imms for handouts, and people get desensitized to that after long enough. How much change do you give to that guy at the stoplight with the "will work for..." sign after passing him daily for
With the observation experience, you need to look at descriptions. Sometimes it's just a room description, or an exit description (many death trap exit descriptions give good exp!). Other times you need to actively look at an interesting mob (often unique or named mobs) or item, or an object with non-obvious keywords.
With explore experience, you need to enter rooms with one or more hidd
See the helpfile for clues on how to obtain it.
At 37, it can detect aura devices, 42 shield, and 47 barrier, both sleeks and non-sleek (although at a lower frequency). It helps a lot, especially coming across non-sleek versions of these spells which you will sorely need.
Did it suck? Yeah. As an Imperial, I'm willing to bet you've been a party to as many choice loots as have happened to you though, it comes with the territory.
And it's pretty obvious you were trying to just char-assassinate a magistrate who technically broke no laws here. You should have just sucked it up and moved on.
It's been a few years since I had a conjurer in that place. If I recall, servitors would eventually either just stand around do nothing, refusing to follow you anymore, or they'd turn against you. Regardless I didn't want to waste time experimenting when the conjure timer was already so long and the chances of getting killed so high.

Tribs are normally barred from raiding any cabal that they are not at war with (i.e. outlander).
And raiding outlander has the effect you say.
Raiding outlander does not cause magistrates to go off duty. That's the one exception to raiding cabals, since the Spire is always considered at war with the Tree.
Explore and observe have level limits based on the area. Once you pass a certain level, you can no longer learn anything based on the risks involved. Get your exploring of the lowbie-accessible areas done early or that potential experience is lost to you forever.
My previous 10 or so characters I was lucky to get evade to 79% with focused learning. My last assassin got evade to 99% by level 33, with all of the skill improvements on level up or from imm exp/quest improvement rewards.
If you are good or neutral, there's a few quests you might stumble upon that raise several skills numerous times, every little bit helps on something as painful as eva
I've been playing CF since the beginning, literally. I think I've accomplished most of my goals so far. There are a few things I haven't ever managed to achieve, though... a Lich/Mummy for one, I just don't have the patience... maybe if I ever get laid off I can work on that. I've never had a herald, or an outlander (although I have had plenty of Sylvans, so dont care too
It's easier to master trip and bash if you fail them, due to the bonus for learning from mistakes.
That being said, trip and bash are nerfed before 25th level, and there is a proportionally worse chance of succeeding the lower your level is from 25. So, it's lots easier to master them right when you get them at 1st-15th level on most classes. Thieves get it easiest here thanks to rec
One person playing chaotic stupid is marginally entertaining in certain circumstances, and in measured amounts.
A whole cabal of them was annoying, moronic, disruptive, and generally a waste of everybody's time. And Chaotic Stupid was like 95% of the cabal.
To say shapeshifters are a crapshoot is an understatement in my opinion. But you may be pleasantly surprised, who knows.
I've had 2 transmuter explorers and they did alright, mostly at higher levels. It would probably be more survivable than a bard in 1-on-1 stationary fights, but worse in places where the creatures tend to wander or group together..
