I don't give two craps about the argument either. :P I am curious though, where do you think you draw the line at having to make assumptions with hostile intent? I'm not willing to take a risk just on the off chance that someone doesn't want to kill me. I don't think I should have to take that chance, when I'm not the instigator. Answer the damn questions. When is the last time you've been shot at, stabbed, threatened, stolen from, or had a friend/family member that it's happened to? Have you EVER had it happen to you?by (vಠ_ಠ)> AngryFatKid - OT Board
If someone's violent at you, you shouldn't have to risk being beaten just to see if they've got a "killer" intent. Is it possible that someone punching me in the face just wants to hit me, and it'll be over? Sure. It's possible. The reality is that if you let someone punch you in the face, you're probably done. WHATEVER their intent is, you're atby (vಠ_ಠ)> AngryFatKid - OT Board
This is a serious question. Have you ever lived in a place like Detroit? Have you ever been shot at, stabbed, threatened, stolen from, or had a friend/family member that it's happened to? You sound like an idealistic, and that's not a bad thing, but you really need to temper that idealism with a touch of reality. Go live in detroit for a few months. You can buy a house there for chby (vಠ_ಠ)> AngryFatKid - OT Board
Been on a first date where you left your keys in your motorcycle during dinner, and had to walk your date to your house? Have you ever, on the same date, misplaced the keys to your other motorcycle at a scenic outlook and had to search in the dark for them??? Have you ever been on a second date with the same woman, and had your parents randomly walk in after your plans got rained out?????????by (vಠ_ಠ)> AngryFatKid - OT Board
Anybody wanna help me figure out why kbk won't compile? I'm thinking that I'm missing a dependency that defines the MYSQL type, and in mysql.h I haven't defined a table or anything for it to build to. Anybody have a step by step on what I'm missing or should check? bub@bubscomp:~/Downloads/kbkmud/src$ make gcc -I/opt/lampp/mysql -c -Wall -ggdb -g3 act_comm.c In fiby (vಠ_ಠ)> AngryFatKid - OT Board

I'm looking for freedom of custimization with a large enough support base to still run most everything on the market. I'll probably end up sticking with Ubuntu, but I'm diggin the windows-esque transition to Kubuntu. Just not sure if I'm going to run into roadblocks later with support, since it's not as big. :P If your son has some pointers, I'm all ears.by (vಠ_ಠ)> AngryFatKid - OT Board

What are you having a hard time with specifically? The wikipedia articles are fairly thorough, and I can clarify anything you might have trouble with. Has no cabal item to steal, but when they have other cabal items they gain some shadowed version of the other cabal's powers, like a toned down resist, toned down fire=hp, a nightwalker, focusing on a codex, or bonding. I think that'd be a lot of fun to play. Gives you enemies EVERYWHERE, and if there were some really skilled players in it, CABALs would actually have to coop to get thby (vಠ_ಠ)> AngryFatKid - OT Board

Wouldn't it? Since if a third of your spec skills are going to parryanything/evade/flow, you'd be able to drum twice in one flurry, and then three times with an extra round of lag. Boneshatter if they're not geared well enough to cover -10/-10, and then backhand/drum or bash/drum? Sure, the idea is to punish people that do bad stuff, but the reality is that when people are provoked like that it's not going to encourage them to be better people. Take looting in CF for example. Loot the people who are douchebags, to discourage them from doing bad stuff. That sounds legit. What ends up happening? Everybody starts looting because other people are looting. I get it, some people don't view goodies as "supposed to kill neutrals", but really...RP isn't only one way. I got killed by Oshui as a neutral a few times as a previous character, but never saw it as strange. I was under the impression that Maran were supposed to be less tolerant of those who weren't light hearted...is that not the case? (I don't have the PKby (vಠ_ಠ)> AngryFatKid - Char Board

I'm really not sure which medications you're supposed to be on, but get back on them. Gnome is not a power gamey race for a muter, and on top of that, I've never been great at PK, and am only marginally better at RP. If you're referring to the fact that outlander had a solid presence lately, and I was in the cabal at the same time, then I'm a power gamey motherfucker whby (vಠ_ಠ)> AngryFatKid - Char Board
