Long fight. Neat stuff
Is it terribly common to just stand there spamming murder when someone flees?
I can't say I've ever had a single situation where someone fled from me and came back. Yet again I'm normally the one running like a bitch.
Damn dude, that is a tough situation. Sometimes things end up really sucking because, quite frankly, in college you don't have time to completely vet out the room mates that you NEED to have because you're in college and money sucks.
I've unfortunately been in similar situations and did not have the time or the money to be able to move someplace new. Cheap and easy solution: pad
That would have been ideal, but much like every other fight I was jumped mid fight against a mob so the slave was already tanking the mob so I ended up having to flee around and lost the slave. I should prolly get more in the habit of running back to pick up my slave when I flee
All very good to know. I know I need to familiarize myself with the enemy which is why I post on the boards. It's not to whine or brag it's mostly so I can get helpful advice like this. The game has a LOT to learn. Way too much to learn on your own. My thanks for your continuing help on my many posts
Afterwards I died because I mistakenly thought the globe throwing was a global teleport so I just kinda stood there in shock and disbelief. I was about to actually win a god damn fight, I landed a bash at convulsing and ONE ROUND LATER action was taken?
I can't help but think wow that was complete bullshit. Had I realized the globe was a nearby teleport I could have easily drank up and b
Agreed completely. I thought Id find myself blowing shit up with a 50 lb hammer when I got brute, but the results have been not only really underwhelming but also completely out of line with what you'd expect out of a mamlauk from an RP perspective.
That may be the case in its current state, but I do not see a single reason why it shouldn't be comparable. Major sacrifices are taken to be mamlauk, and the only reason I did was because I thought id be getting major bonuses with heavy weapons.
Not on my computer so I can't log in, but I think I am around 42 or so damroll. My hit roll is pretty garbage as a result so I miss a lot but that's why I'm always surprised when I hit like a wet noodle.
I didn't imply the class was garbage, I was trying to imply I was garbage as a player. Your advice has been helpful. I'll have to get to work IC finding where these preps are. What is this go go juice you speak of? I only know of the properties of the poppy.
This is the kind of great advice I was lookin for! I think in this case I was pretty screwed either way but great stuff.
Sadly I've been saving every edge point for slaver and still don't have enough, I get the feeling it would help tons.
The bit about disease carrier sounds really interesting but I don't know exactly how it works or how Id go around getting plague on purpose
I wasnt implying being an Orc was the problem. First: I'm new enough I didn't know about space and Id queued up the action to grab a pot from my bag before he stepped in. Second: the bigger point I was trying to make was the absurd amount of damage from auto attacks. I've never even done that much against a vuln.
Thanks Jalim. I feel like I need to constantly make excuses as to why I'm not playing something "easier" for my first back after a very long break (and never having really gotten beyond being a newb in the first place). Sorry, I like Orc. I just so happen to also be a completely useless shit head.
All good advice. I'd given up hope of being competitive somewhere around the time I named the character, I was just hoping for something to log in and do these days. It would be fun to find some PVE to do of some sort but now that mobs randomly attack people who aren't tanking I've found it hard to even take down dragons and the like with others with me.
I release my gear blows in all likelihood. It just seems like every time I try to get anyone to help me learn gear it just makes me into some whiny POS and they are inevitably busy anyways.
I understand I took some free hits cause I had queued grabbing a pot from my bag when he came in but that still doesn't explain the absurd amount of damage each hit dealt. I never deal damage like that even with iron vs an elf. It is also far too late to question my adaptation but there has got to be a way I can be more than free lunch to anyone and everyone on the entire damned mud. I deal
