"Either be grateful or atleast be quiet." This is not the realm of options. Meaningful discussion is not only valid, but warrented. And being grateful is not mutually exclusive with being critical. Once you take on the job of doing something - such as working on a mud, running a cabal, being a leader, whatever -- you must accept that people will expect you to do it well, or within some standards of reasonable competence. It is both arrogant in the extreme and completely unhelpful to simply say "be grateful or be silent." The conversation begins with "yes, we are grateful that the immortals put in the time and effort they do to provide the game." But it doesn't end there. Criticism can and should be openly discussed. Nothing here supports simple flames or insults. But the discussion here was rather straightforward and direct with some meaningful thought. Whether you agreed with it or not is not the issue. This type of discourse is exactly why a forum exists, and is all too rare. For you to state "be grateful or be silent" serves only to stifle those that act rationally and civily. Shame on you.
