"Jury of your peers" does not mean "Your homeys".

It means representatives of the community in which you are being tried. Thats the downside of breaking the law in a state like Georgia.

> Ludicrous, Bugsy Siegel, and the whole Wu-Tang clan would've let his ass go and blazed a humungous blunt of sticky icky reminiscing about the first time they got their dicks sucked by an underage white chick.
>
>
> > If we legalized all drugs tomorrow, all the people in jail for drug sentences wouldn't just get to walk free, unless the courts decided to apply the laws retroactively, which they declined to do in this case.
> >
> > The laws changing in no way excuses breaking the laws that existed at the time of your crime. Likewise, if you commit a crime that goes from being a misdemeanor to a felony, they cannot retroactively increase your sentence once it is handed down.

It was his option to fight the charges and be charged as an adult.

Listen man, for the last time, I'm not in favor of the man, I'm in favor (stxt)

AA 469 October 26, 2007 07:39AM

I've got to disagree.

Vladamir 427 October 26, 2007 07:48AM

But that's the thing. How can something be illegal when I did it, yet (stxt)

AA 433 October 26, 2007 07:50AM

Because he was already tried and convicted by a jury of his peers.

Vladamir 442 October 26, 2007 09:24AM

Are a bunch of old white crackers in LL Bean sweaters really his peers?

entropissed 435 October 26, 2007 09:54AM

"Jury of your peers" does not mean "Your homeys".

Vladamir 472 October 27, 2007 06:48AM

You are wrong

If she was too drunk to consent, they would have been convicted of rape.
