Alignment, in CF, isn't based on perspective. You aren't good because you have good intentions, and you think you are doing good things for a good reason. You're good because you ARE doing good things for a good reason.
If you're roleplaying a character who is doing evil things for reasons he thinks are good, that is an evil character. Period. It doesn't matter if the character thinks he's doing good things for good reasons.
Ultimately, the best way to think of morality in CF world is, "What would a reasonable outside observer think of these actions?" In general, stealing from some guy just because you want his stuff would not be considered a "good" act to a reasonable observer. Depending on the circumstances, it could be.. but in general, definitely not. Taking weapons/armor from an evil bastard who is only going to use them to cause more harm and misery to those around him? Now that's something a good person would do.
Keep in mind, in the world of CF lore, there are some things that are simply inherently evil. A newborn Dark-Elf is inherently evil. A newborn Elf is inherently good. Decisions throughout that person's life may change that, but that's where they start out. It simply is.
Similarly, the art of necromancy (ie, raising the dead) is an inherently evil practice. The act of storing souls in weapons is an evil act.
Being a hard-ass leader of an Army? Not an inherently evil act.
Also of note, Orderly is not the same thing as Lawful. That was a specific change to CF years back, and it was changed for a reason. Orderly means you believe in rules, and likely some idea of a society. It does NOT mean that you support the currently enforced rules. An example I like to use is the Mafia. They are very organized, and very insistent on following their own extremely strict rules. They are orderly, despite the fact that they do not follow the laws of the current government.
