At least before any changes were made, I got the same level of obs/explore xp doing it at any rank as doing it at 30 far as I have ever seen.
So there's that. I have never noticed any difference in the level hitting all the points at hero. But maybe I don't look at certain things ever so don't know I'm missing them.
That's entirely possible.

Also, I routinely get the key, alone, by 35, even on non-goodies who can't request it, though it's been so long since I played a goodie that I don't recall the level needed to request it, I just know it is sub 40.
Anybody can solo the mob. It may take a little time, but it can be done. I did it with a freaking goblin FFS.
If you simply don't understand how to do this, without dying, with any class, well, that's on you as a player.
But saying it can't be done or asking how makes me question whether you should be commenting on that without understanding things.

A shifter would be relatively easy, as would anything else.
Even a utility one.
