What matters is who was in a fight with the victim during a specific time period before their death.

>attack a guy in the area and surprise, he was sleeping there to get away from another and was already convulsing/writhing/etc. solo or assist?
Assist.

>kill another player with the aid of another player, but you aren't grouped? What if the other character assisting in the kill didn't even get a hit off? do the assisters have to be in the room (like attacking a player and another player casts call lightning on them)?
Assist. Not getting a hit, still assist. Things like call lightning count too, even though that doesn't get them in a fight.

>Kill another player while in a group, but your group mate(s) doesn't assist?
Solo.

>A player attacks you, flees, attacks another, flees, then you kill him. Does the second person attacking him in the area make it count as an assist? Is there a time constraint where is is or is not an assist? Is there an area constraint?
Assist. Time constraint, yes. No area constraint.

I don't think so. Pretty positive they have to actually do real physical damage at least once.

Kstatida March 31, 2015 01:10PM

not really time constraint mostly

Quas March 31, 2015 11:05AM

0% damage is also considered damage and will count toward an assisted kill. (n/t)

BattleCharmed March 31, 2015 12:43PM

0 damage could mean they scratched you with a trip or two, but it wasn't enough to round up to 1%. (n/t)

saagkri April 02, 2015 01:06PM

It is based on who did the damage. It's just that assassinations are a special case, always solo.
