Which edges would you like to see removed?

Mostly a sour topic, I do apologise, but in my opinion some edges shouldn't have been added. Not just for game balance, but in the general spirit of edges which was:

"To encourage alternative tactics, not empower already strong abilities"

With the above in mind, which edges do you think really broke a class?

Here's a few to keep in mind that have been mentioned (not all of which I agree with).
Quote

Erode Confidence (huge -morale from bards)

Daunting Dirgesinger (huge damage on foes with huge -morale. Regular ANNIHILATES to UNSPEAKS when I had it.)

Frightful Fiend (persistantly stronger fiends)

Blightcaller (stronger rot)

Paralytic Opportunist (lets you out-melee stunned foes as a muter)

Psyche Crush (lets you do huge damage to low-int foes who are likely to out-melee you)

Piercing needles (a fair chance for needles to bypass your only defence to critical hits - your armour - leading to Chrichuk -600 hp iceneedles)

Telluric Adept (an ability that already freezes, rapidly drains moves, and feints/disarms - now does all these better)

Shards of Contagion (Those annihilates from thorns? Now might plague if you have the dam redux to take more of them. Yay entangle!)

Unholy Slavemaster (recently nerfed, used to regularly give Ravon 2-3 maledicts per lash ontop of shocking arcing maledicts)

Sightstealer (AP's can cure any kind of blindness, by inflicting it on you. Great for sleep-spam, or just plain getting rid of eyejab)
I have to praise imms for adding some edges - the defensive ones in particular, it's really nice to be able to at least resist certain tactics such as rot spam, or use overcome distortion if you're a targetted ability focused class. Certain class revamps really scream awesome - such as the Warrior edges, which are all great ways to encourage diverse tactics. But certain areas got sicker - like make iceball spam APs stronger in many aspects, or an extra hour of uncurable dirt kick blindness. Siphoner still scares the hell out of me, because energy drain = death for many classes.

Honorable mention to the areas they didn't love enough - Rangers, Paladins and Possibly Shamans (the class is in need of revamping more than edges).

Here's your chance to have a justified rant or just flame the nut!

Enjoy.

Don't have issues with sightstealer

daurwyn(VIP) March 07, 2008 01:09PM

All classes are equal, but some are more equal than others.

Quixotic March 07, 2008 11:39AM

I like edges that make less-used skills or builds more encouraged.

I agree completely on the Warrior edge list.

Yhorian(VIP) March 07, 2008 01:13PM

Wow. See, this is a damn good post. Of those, you know which one I hate the most.

I don't believe you that they can't be healed at a healer...

laearrist March 07, 2008 09:34AM

You're half right.

Yhorian(VIP) March 07, 2008 01:22PM

hmm, most of those he listed can be cured by healers

daurwyn(VIP) March 07, 2008 11:36PM

Hot piss. I never noticed different healers heal different diseases.

Yhorian(VIP) March 08, 2008 02:35PM

I can agree with some of this

Thinking about it - it might be better if we could come up with better alternatives.

Yhorian(VIP) March 06, 2008 11:15PM

I think I'm going crazy.
