... I found the wand system exciting but I am still a new player. For someone who knows all the areas by heart, I can see how running through everything is a bit frustrating. That said, there are so many limited wand locations around that you can have a full set of non-sleek wands pretty quickly. Is it a strange system? Yes. Is it harder on APs than other mages? Yes, for several reasons (no weave of elements, no improved invis type spells). But I am not entirely discouraged by the wand system like other people. Maybe I'm a glutton for punishment.
