In the same mud I spoke of, many people said that they aren't interested in PK and that they don't care. Turns out, yeah, they eventually stopped caring because they couldn't be successful and gave up. But that was after they were hooked up with the game, and the thing that hooked them up in the first place was still the same.

And there are not many people who genuinely don't care. Most of those you speak of may not want to actively pursue PK, but everyone wants to be able to fight back. It's so much cooler than running away or dying all the time!
