Flip the switch, Zulg

Its common knowledge that I'm not a fan of the imm staff because certain ones have issues when they talk to you in that tone of this game is theirs and they can do whatever they want. They justify it by stupid means but it is their game so you can just leave. But, I like the idea of flipping the switch and no more preps. You would have to reply on your class powers and that would be it. The AbS system is messed up and I'm going thought it right now but I've found a wand. I was so excited to find it. So, I put that aura up, shield spell with stone skin and still got utterly dominated by a villager who was spamming skills from level 15. The amount of work it takes a Mage to be decent is unreal when a villager has everything on a stick.

Get rid of preps and rely on class abities.

Warriors would be fine
Villagers would have to lose death blow and thirst. They can keep resistance
Mages would need something to stay competitive so give them a stronger class spell

There are alot of problems with the game but the imms don't want to hear it. They do have a problem though,

ABS Mage verses anyone without spellbane will win. That's just to much protections.
ABS invoker is incredibly strong and that dam redux is unreal. It's to good
Mages need the protections or they're screwed.
Villagers have protections, DB, thirst, spellbane on a stick while a Mage has to explore everywhere and hope that he can get his wands in order to have a 40% chance or less to beat a lame ass villager who thirsts on sight because he knows he can't kill without thirst. It's a very flawed system and the only way around it is to get rid of all the preps. That would be awesome.

TripHitNdip January 03, 2012 06:18AM

Funny, I bet you can find a post saying the same thing from 5 years ago (n/t)

DurNominator(VIP) January 03, 2012 02:36AM

Batman January 03, 2012 02:39AM

Isildur(VIP) January 02, 2012 06:37PM

Shhhhhhh!!!!!

Frosty January 02, 2012 07:19PM

This is weird for me because I think villagers have it so good because of the awesome EQ and not abs...

trewyn January 02, 2012 06:09PM

And eastern road was conglaciated and uphill both ways, and boots werent in the game yet (n/t)

Artificial January 02, 2012 06:13PM

They were new, in that area they named Camelot. But you're right about that conglaciation crap...

trewyn January 02, 2012 06:54PM

What makes you think because preps go out, cabal powers have to get nerfed?

Rogue January 02, 2012 06:06PM

Not just ABS, but all preps.

DurNominator(VIP) January 03, 2012 05:36AM

I still don't think so

Rogue January 03, 2012 09:45AM

Yes, because in a prepless world viable powers are just like ignite, call Cham, etc.. There is no logic to it. All others lose their remote chance to survive but a villager keeps everything. Yep, confirmed, sounds realistic. (n/t)

funnyone January 03, 2012 03:42PM

Dude

Rogue January 03, 2012 04:09PM

Depends if he knows the muter or thief is coming

Re: I still don't think so

Artificial January 03, 2012 09:56AM

Yes, take out all potions and ABS but lets leave villagers alone. Sounds smart, doesnt it? (n/t)

funnyone January 03, 2012 02:25AM

Yea, pretty much. nt

Rogue January 03, 2012 04:41AM

So, current rager powers and anti-gang code intact, but no preps? You're nuts. (n/t)

Coumidin January 02, 2012 10:02PM

How many times do we have to tell you?!

Mages w/o ABS are fine

ekvilibr January 02, 2012 10:01PM

It is kind of fun, I'll give you that.

funnyone January 03, 2012 02:18AM

There's a level requirement for each kind of wand

daurwyn(VIP) January 03, 2012 12:37PM

Usually when I reply to class powers they put me on ignore. (n/t)

NbM(VIP) January 02, 2012 04:34PM

Honestly, what is the alternative? The wand system creates a huge problem so why not take it all away?

funnyone January 02, 2012 04:45PM

The one time I replied to the wand system and it put me on ignore. n/t
