Call Chameleon? Ignite? Tribunal Detects? Scion Despoil? Imperial Training? That's the point of cabal powers, cabal politics, and RP limitations. Ragers
have to die in certain situations which can easily be engineered. A cloud giant rager against any thief/transmuter is going to be having a tough time if he
is ever caught on the water.
There's a reason ragers have bad ass powers, because they can get castrated real easy. I don't play a lot of ragers, because I don't like the weaknesses
associated with them.
Battleragers aren't the only people in the game, and any mage class out there can simply teleport/word to get away from them. They have to walk, and they
don't walk very fast, not to mention they can't use healers. It's really not that big of a deal. Not nearly as much as people are making it out to be.
