Leadership is in turmoil, playerbase is declining (40 avg a year ago to 23 now). But up until fairly recently a host of great additions were made to CF. The playerbase is generally friendly and helpful excluding russians and the odd misanthrope. It's still fun if you want a text based single player game with light multiplayer. I'm an eternal optimist though, so I welcome new blood to CF.
