Thugs will get you easy kills

January 18, 2013 03:10AM
My experience was that thugs get more kills on players that are easy kills, the ones that are unprepped, not flying and don't get out right away. Thugs will still get the occasional lucky kill on a good player, but the other guy has to screw up.

Binders, Poisoners and Trappers have some skills which can swing a fight and ruin anyone's day. With any of those, and especially a mix of two, I can think of ways to take down very strong chars that are unkillable to a thug.

That's the big difference to me. Thugs pick lots of low hanging fruit. The other builds are a harder to use but can kill stronger foes.

Thug will have much more PK's, but will be unable to kill those people whom a binder can kill.

shaapa January 18, 2013 11:11AM

With thugs it's finding weakness. That to me says it has a wider appeal.

Yhorian(VIP) January 18, 2013 07:10PM

Cheap shot is a general thief skill now. Why couldn't a binder do that?

I will add this: PK doesn't stop once they recall/teleport

hug January 18, 2013 04:47PM

thats good stuff but the truth is that its much much simpler then that

Quas January 18, 2013 10:40AM

You are oversimplifying...

laearrist January 18, 2013 12:53PM

Your characters are also trivial to spot and avoid.

sevriis January 18, 2013 12:36PM

So basically play CF like it's a FPS. Meh. (n/t)

bell January 18, 2013 12:29PM

PS I thought Gripple was bad ass, and didn't get the FPS vibe even though you were fighting a bunch. (n/t)

PKing doesn't mean not rping bro you can do both at the same time (n/t)

You cherrypick. You seldom ever took out remotely deathful PC's and got your ass handed to you regularly by me.

Jerrokrar January 18, 2013 01:11PM

Not as regularly as Krunk made you his bitch Jerrotard. Suck it. (n/t)

laearrist January 18, 2013 05:30PM

Because improved flee and skrugga adaptation are worthless right? Would've totally got the same pk margins as a plain shig-ru. I still can't believe I used to spoonfeed u info on POS mud u douche n/t

First thought. Did you do a reply with quote on the old PBF timelines

Nope and I thought Kii was a cool cat. Kii + Krunk = Lots of dead ragers

laearrist January 18, 2013 10:14AM

Interesting, but a bit wrong

Flipside Oreo January 18, 2013 05:42AM

They are fairly close, but yes, I'm somewhat mistaken. Pre-hero PKpH is lower.

laearrist January 18, 2013 05:57AM

I think if you don't have more than 100 kills then it shouldn't count for this discussion

Rade January 18, 2013 04:39AM

I somewhat agree. Djarbee and Krunk are the only ones in the top 10 that had real staying power.

Thug is just way easier to land kills on unprepared people with. Binder and poisoner can land kills on tougher opponents more readily. (n/t)
