0. Dwarf pole/mace isn't a strong combination. That said...
1. Enlarge is good for cranial. This fight did include enlarge, but some earlier logs didn't. Always enlarge as a dwarf mace/pole spec.
2. Decked and skilled bard invoker warrior is a really tough group to defend against. I think it's normal to lose to that group, and the good thing is they can't easily perma-lag you.
3. Time your warcries to start after a fresh tick. I see a lot of logs where the warcry comes in at pretty much random times. You don't want to waste the 0-round haste/dam/str on 1 round of combat. Cry of Thunder is an amazing legacy, one of the best for almost all warriors. It also heals 102 hp at hero regardless of your dam reduction.
4. You have only one malediction, a 22 str boneshatter (probably -9/-9). Vets playing melee classes will likely cover this. Much of the time, warcry on a fresh tick and drumming is the better strategy.
For 2h pal + pole/mace vs dex sword/axe + bard + invoker at the Watcher:
How to defend (once):
2h pal should start by summoning A LOT of mobs. Like 6 of them. If this isn't done, it's likely there is no reasonable defence against the raid.
At the beginning of the fight, 2h pal hits invoker, then hiltsmash (many invokers wield weapons for parry). If the invoker has no weapon, you're much more likely to lose.
Refresh any preps that invoker dispelled and return.
The bard should either have risked a song and had 6 strong lagging mobs on him, or did not use symphonic echoes or other songs. So both of you should be un-maledicted, or the bard should be screwed.
Get on the bard, dual mace and warcry on a fresh tick and drum repeatedly. 2h pal should be doing strike of faith.
If the bard's dragonbone flute can be offhanded, proceed to hiltsmash bard and offhand it (and try to take it or sac it: sorry Venara! It's too OP).
With any luck Venara will be forced to retreat and they will have to come again later, by which time the Watcher would have too little hp to defend against.
