Nice log. This is not a criticism, but re: elves hunting down elves.

Does anyone remember Nep/otherImms talking about roleplaying good aligns mixed with cabal obligations? The Imms basically said if you're a good align and there is another good align in an opposing cabal, you had better think of a way to deal with that person besides hunting them down and PKing them. And I remember when I was playing a good aligned Outlander, one of the Imms said my char should have been turned neutral because I attacked good aligned Tribs.

Something about that attitude just seems impossible to me. And in practice, I'm not sure there are many people that roleplay that way.

Take this log. Here is a good aligned elf that is hunting down other good align elves. He isn't content to just defend his cabal, etc. He actively pursues them to the Weald and tries to murder them there. There's no RP'd remorse on either side. And that's exactly what I would do if I were in this Trib guy's situation. Yet.. that is contradicted by what the Imms say is condoned good aligned elvish roleplay.

I'm just curious if anyone actually follows the "Imm mold" for roleplay. If anyone actually RP'd a Trib, Outlander, or Battlerager that was averse to hunting down good aligns in opposing cabals or criminals. And if anyone thinks that is how all goods should be played and punished if they do not play them that way.

Episode 4: A new hope

Heh. Same old story: When good gear is in sight RP goes out the window. No wonder greed is a virtue. nt

Thanks for posting bub, now we are all know you. n/t

Nice log. This is not a criticism, but re: elves hunting down elves.

Balrahd(VIP) 576 May 01, 2008 10:27AM

I did (follow the imm mold). And guess what? I deleted real quick, because it sucked so bad. nt

Drokk 402 May 02, 2008 03:29AM

Twist says his sunwarden didn't go after good aligneds. Don't think Xinthril did either. nt

Drokk 388 May 02, 2008 03:31AM

But....

odrirg 437 May 02, 2008 09:15AM

I agree: It is harder for tribs/battle ragers and precisely because of that _some_ allowances should be made. nt

Drokk 354 May 02, 2008 10:17AM

Actually, you have it the other way from my understanding. Sey and the Outlanders hunt THEM down. NT

Sam 456 May 01, 2008 02:27PM

Bingo. nt

The Forsaken(VIP) 458 May 02, 2008 03:57AM

Meh

Quixotic 467 May 01, 2008 02:19PM

agree, and disagree.

odrirg 499 May 01, 2008 10:58AM

Good post. nt

Yhorian(VIP) 394 May 01, 2008 11:35AM

Really...?

Reply to Forsaken and Balrahd

Blackbird 456 May 01, 2008 10:01PM

Oops. I didn't mean it to be slanted. I meant for the question to apply to Outlanders/Ragers as well as Tribs.

Balrahd(VIP) 410 May 01, 2008 11:56AM

It is possible.

Quixotic 403 May 01, 2008 05:03PM

Re: It is possible.

Death_Claw 402 May 02, 2008 05:22AM

That's part of the reason I don't play goodie ragers/outlanders/tribs.

Death_Claw 397 May 01, 2008 03:01PM

As things have been recently, Completely Agree. NT

Sam 392 May 01, 2008 03:07PM

You're forgetting...

Treebeard 439 May 01, 2008 11:14AM

I don't think so.

The Forsaken(VIP) 447 May 01, 2008 11:56AM

fixed

Scrimbul 401 May 01, 2008 01:22PM

I think the only power they should have without the scales is wanted.

Death_Claw 381 May 01, 2008 03:05PM

Then Tribunal is at an inherent and constant disadvantage...

Yhorian(VIP) 335 May 02, 2008 09:40AM

Just don't show their titles when they don't have the scales. I don't buy the ranger/druid argument.

Death_Claw 398 May 02, 2008 11:44AM

Yeah all of this I agree with~

Treebeard 436 May 02, 2008 12:10PM

I could totally dig that. nt

The Forsaken(VIP) 383 May 01, 2008 02:22PM

In other words there should be no laws in effect once the scales are taken.

Scrimbul 369 May 01, 2008 01:24PM

Clearing warrants makes 0 sense rp wise. You don't mystically become innocent. nt

Yhorian(VIP) 358 May 01, 2008 02:17PM

What makes even less sense is the way we have it right now.

Scrimbul 373 May 01, 2008 03:20PM

I think it's a great way. Otherwise, people in force will just gank down and raid to avoid warrants. If anything, that behaviour should get them MORE warrants. nt

Yhorian(VIP) 390 May 02, 2008 05:17AM

You are right about the results, wrong about the spirit of it.

Treebeard 399 May 02, 2008 12:12PM

I wouldn't clear warrants, but I could see

Quixotic 450 May 01, 2008 02:22PM

Something like that is an interesting idea.

Jib 437 May 01, 2008 02:35PM

Well,

Treebeard 434 May 01, 2008 02:41PM

But I feel so COOL when I have on a wanted flag ;P

Jib 410 May 01, 2008 02:43PM

For all my bitching, I actually like this thought. I'd love to see laws suspended, etc~

Treebeard 394 May 01, 2008 01:30PM

I hate this game sometimes. But that was badassery on your part. NT

Sam 401 May 01, 2008 09:43AM

Why would you loot an utterly evil sword?

arzzra 559 May 01, 2008 05:14AM

ever read the item description? doesn't seem evil to me. at all. nt

Isildur(VIP) 340 May 01, 2008 05:59AM

Ditto. It's a little malicious, but definetly NOT evil in any way shape or form. nt

Yhorian(VIP) 367 May 01, 2008 07:18AM

it was created by elves. txt

theepic 427 May 01, 2008 10:10AM

Of course not. We only tell other goodies what they should be using.

theepic 420 May 01, 2008 05:44AM

My deeper psychic powers tell me...

Yhorian(VIP) 392 May 01, 2008 08:22AM

WRONG! I saw him use the humansunder in combat. He's keeping it nt

sleepy 409 May 02, 2008 07:43AM

I can guarantee 100% that's what happened, I just can't prove it until he deletes. So accept it. nt

Yhorian(VIP) 403 May 02, 2008 05:53PM

Umm, it's one of the three best swords in the game. Why wouldn't he? NT
