Re: And how about bribing Imperials into not defending?

Hmmm....

Bribing one of the underlings...yes....

Emporer him/herself.....no....

Using their own greed to sow dissent amongst the underlings is one thing....getting the edge and killing off an Imperial lackey with the unknown help of another imperial lackey is good RP on several levels for BOTH players. Its like a 'double agent' kind of thing if you manage to get away with it over an extended period. Its a wise use of the inherent backstabbingness (that should exist) within an evil organization to further the greater good by using their weaknesses against them. For example...we know the empire is going to be there tomorrow...but what if you can help the noobs get ahead by bribing them to betray their more elite superiors...keep them noobs propped up so they get ahead and the ones who actually know how to PK down.....and betrayed....sounds like a win win for the Light....

Paying off the titular head OF the Empire is still in my opinion an act of surrender to the POWER of the empire. The emporer is no mere underling...he/she IS symbollically THE Empire itself.

And I wouldn't do ANY of this if I were a PALADIN....but Nian isnt a paladin...he isn't bound by 'the code' as much as a paladin is.

Also.. don't warriors still get retreat?

Java 358 April 23, 2009 07:01PM

Please try and retreat from Cents and get lagged for 2+ rounds. You'll be disappointed I assure you. NT

Sam 282 April 24, 2009 01:52AM

You're right. Much better to give up, emote something and wait while you slowly die. My bad.

Java 282 April 24, 2009 12:45PM

Never said you should let yourself die, just that retreat is a really really bad idea. NT

Sam 339 April 24, 2009 12:50PM

Moligant 354 April 25, 2009 02:59AM

As a Fortress member, I have more valuable things than Coin--Such as the Orb. I'll give the coin over, let evil be greedy, and purify them when I have the chance. NT

Batman 318 April 24, 2009 04:59AM

And then evil says "Give me that fancy ring, and I'll give the orb back"

Java 245 April 24, 2009 12:44PM

"So now you see, Lone Starr...evil will always triumph, because good is dumb." nt

NbM 337 April 24, 2009 12:34PM

No! Not if I use the schwartz! NT

Batman 289 April 24, 2009 12:54PM

Maybe depends on Fort leadership. But if I was in charge, that'd be a big no-no. nt

Java 254 April 23, 2009 09:02PM

Yes, it entirely does. n/t

Balrahd(VIP) 245 April 24, 2009 08:03AM

Seconded. Maybe it's a good thing we both deleted them. :) nt

minyar 329 April 24, 2009 03:13AM

I always did if there were tons of Imperials on and I wanted to chance a quick retrieval. n/t
