My point is that the rites doesn't represent a bunch of players simultaneously rolling characters friendly to one another and then, presumably, grouping together to do all the things groups normally do. Rank, get gear, PK, etc.

Based on the logs that were posted, it certainly seemed like more than two. Also, consider that multiple players are defending "Stevers" as valid orc RP, so it follows that that's how they would play their orc IC.
