"Not saying you perma'd every step of the way, but it was obvious that you guys were going to group up at some point and tackle Hell."
And what exactly is wrong with that? We didn't perma at all, we knew each other and specifically stayed away from each other. We all wanted to explore Hell and if they don't like blatant permas then we'd avoid each other for that pure purpose so we could enjoy exploring. Tim's character needed to see Satan for full empowerment (Twist's Immortal) so we got him there for it. It's *never* been done before.....let me restate that, he was the first character to actually make it there with partial empowerment. I also wanted to cleave Satan and I got to. You want an in-game reason, there it is.
The OOC groups to hell has existed forever and probably always will, just people will hide it better or it'll never get done (the latter is where it's headed). People PM me asking what to make and randomly people start asking in-game to do stuff. I show people the ropes unlike most elitest assholes. The all-immortal ran group is the most common one to point at since they're on Andy's website forever as proof but I was on several all-imm groups for years, and stuff more recent as well led by them. Some are absolutely blatant (like Tikar doing the "hammer dance" emote before Satan or people live posting on IRC they just reached Satan) and others are just more covered under cabal antics ("hey we're all imperials, we have a reason to go! Don't pay attention that we all know each other"). With dwindling numbers and fuck-ups to healers and other changes, it's basically impossible without it.
I find it hilarious Isildur said that hell gear ends up on my guy, considering I died a ton and usually take nothing for gear. If anything it gets in circulation because of me.
