The truth of the matter is, when I was playing Danntruso, I put more time into Onya then I had in a long time... All it meant is that I played the game more, not that I played Onya less. Listen, I guess it's just hard for some of you power gamers to understand, but it's extremely hard for me to play this game for longer than 2 hours at a time when things get slow. Onya's playstyle/RP was so much a wait and react approach, alot of the time I would post up for hours at a time waiting for one person at a trap point. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't change Onya's playstyle for anything, but I won't lie, it got a bit boreing after 400 hours or so.
Therefore, I would usually play Onya, on average, about 1 hour and 45 minutes a log-in. After that, I just had to quit out and do something else, because rarely did anyone raid me and alot of the time I didn't have much to do. That was just Onya's playstyle. To change it at that time, would have been wrong and if you read the goodbye then you know it would have broken her RP. Her RP being one of cunning and wit, instead of balls to the walls shit.
What really made Onya last so long was that 6 month period where I was working an 80 hour a week job. In that time, I was logging into Onya like maybe 2 hours a week (Which is just sad) and that's why I gave up Nightreaver, because I would get in from work and could barely take a shower, let alone play mud. Anyways, I quit that job a while back, and that opened up more time for Onya, HOWEVER, the problem I outlined in the first and second paragraph still existed. The simple solution would have been to delete Onya, but if you understood how much I loved the character, then you would know that that was completely out of the question. Yes, she got boreing at times, but I loved that bitch something fierce, and I wanted her to be my first age death.
Which brings us to Danntruso. In the beginning, playing Danntruso did take time away from Onya, but that was when I was ranking up. It only took me like 2 weeks to get to hero, and after that I put both characters on a schedule. I would play Onya from anywhere between 4pm and 8pm, and I would play Danntruso anywhere from 10pm to 5am. Yes, I know Danntruso got more PT, but keep in mind the problems from paragraph 1 and 2. Danntruso offered no downtime. It was gogogo from log-in to log-off. If I wasn't busting heads, then I was gathering gold/coins. Onya didn't offer the same excitement. She was much more about discipline and restraint to land the kill, while Danntruso was much more " ME SMASH!!"
Anyways, the point I'm trying to make is that NO MATTER WHAT, whether I played Danntruso or not, Onya would have died at about the same time, because I simply could not put the type of hours into her that the rest of you seem to think I would. I'm telling you. I wouldn't have. Maybe, MAYBE, if Danntruso hadn't been created, perhaps Onya would have age died a couple of weeks ago, or maybe three weeks ago. What I'm saying is: It wouldn't have made the huge difference you seem to think it would have. There. I said what I have to say. I'm sure it won't change your opinion, but it's laid out now. Take it as you will.
