Interleague is not only gimicky, it's unfair.
1. You don't play a home and home series against your interleague schedule.
2. The +3 for natural rivals is bullshit. Some teams have to play EXTRA games against perennial power houses (NY vs NY-Boston vs ATL) that are their regional rival and other's get perennial cakewalks (StL vs KC). And as we've witnessed with this year's baseball and how close it comes down to the wire at the end of the season, those 3 extra games are VERY important.
The All-Star Game
WINNING TEAM GETS HOME FIELD ADVANTAGE FOR THE WORLD SERIES IS THE WEAKEST SHIT OF ALL TIME. THANKS, BUD!
The Wild Card thing.
I think it was obvious that I indicated the playoff structure as well. Though, I'd get rid of the 5 game series to start it off and make it a full 7 so that you're required to use your whole team to win a series. It took a marathon to get to the post-season, no sense in making it a lucky sprint at the end. And that's the second part to my proposal to remove 8 games from the regular season. It gives time to grant three 7 game series at the end to determine a champion.
