I was thinking that a gnome would make a pretty good conjurer with all thier extra hitpoints. Looking at the graveyard, it seems that there are very few gnome conjies, and even less heros of the type. Are there a lot of inherant drawbacks to this combination? Is it just because of the neutrality?
I understand that having the same morality is a bonus, but is it such a big deal that gnomes will
I went and got it last night and it is perfect except for one thing. I need to try to figure out how to get it to parse out the identifications done at the Inn. My character just got lore, so that is in option now, but when I want to be 100% sure about an item I get it IDd at the inn and the text from that isn't regognized in the processing. I was going to sit down and compare a lore to his
I'll start searching for that, but if anyone know where it is that would be a great help. I've been doing it manually in Zmud DB, but it is a pain in the ass to I something, and then go and manually type orpaste info into an entry for it. I really need to do it through the life of each character,so that I get more familiar with what is good for different levels. Most logs you see are fo
How do you handle knowledge of equipment? Do most of you keep a database or list of all the stuff you are familiar with? Or do you just about it from enough exposure to it?
I see in logs, or in game where peple can glance at what someone is wearing, look in a corpse, and immediately know what items are better than what. If in a log where they kill someone, take a look inside and know which i
Should you stop leveing at 10 all together?
Is it frowned on if you keep leveling when you can't get an audience for several days? Or frowned more on to stop things that would level you? I know you are supposed to find the shrine, pray there, and play your role, but it seems that it is a collasal waste to do nothing. It also sucks to have 15+ levels in a class when you still can't us
Is there a good way in character to findout what your skills do to others? There are so many effects from a skill that you see as a message, but without having those things done to yourself or scouring logs, you don't even know as much about what the skill does as the person that it happened to.
I think it would be interesting if by using a skill/spell/sup you could 'learn' wh
Marcatis didn't have the order sphere, his are death, spirit, and judgement. I still thought that it would fit better with the role I was looking for, but I already had the sphere set so since I was still below level 10 and olny a handful of hours in I just re-rolled. Now for some more shrine hunting.
Are there many good outlanders? I was assuming they are pretty much all neutral.
If there are goodies there, I'll try the same tactics, but I would be rather suprised if there were any takers. :). Hell maybe I'll just offer them thier wanted flag back after I killed them just so they can show it off to thier friends some more. ;)
I'm more worried about if there would be any ramifications on a paladin Tribunal attacking lawful evils outside of protected areas. I don't think that there would be any problems of it, but it is a little harder to balace the drive to slay evil even when they are not a criminal.
I wrote up a big long detail of how I think it would work, but decided that it would be better suited for a role entry in the future, so I think I'll just store it away for now. I think as long as I am open and set the expecations early it won't be a problem. It will also be dependant on what his lord says on the matter.
My plan is to handle them with compassion. Ask them to turn themselves in. Punish them with dignity, commend them for their efforts in the fight against evil, but remind them that the forces of good can rise above lawlessness and do not need to stoop to their level. If they refuse, then he will resort to more forceful methods, but not after ample opportunity for them to make amends.
I've seen several folks in the graveyard that didn't bother to practice the armor use skills.Do these skills not make that much of an impact? At first I thought that they just never planned to use that kind of armor, but there are some that have both metal and light armors as a meleer still at 1%, so I see that as a long shot.
Nothing wrong with her at all, in fact she would be my more appealing choice. This will be a bit of a learning experience with the paladin for me, so I wanted to try something a little differnent with the first attempt to lead up to a follow up paladin later. The first will be Tribunal, on the follow up one I'll go for Baerinika and Maran.
Dang, I must have totally missed him. I went with Trabryn because I didn't see any other obvious fits other than Baerinika. Hopefully the one pray I made to Trabryn won't come back to haunt me, but I think it sounds like a good idea to add a role to redirect my pally to find his true calling under Marcatis.
My intention was to make a Tribunal pally to cut my teeth on and then maybe go for a Maran pally down the road, so for the one I have starting out I selected the order sphere and built a role zeroed in on going for Tribunal. I wasn't familiar with any of the active religion immortals after coming back and went for Order, but the impression that I've gotten so far is that Trabryn is eith
I'm sure this is a very noobish question, but I wasn't sure and figured I'd check. To avoid a bash, are you always looking to get two size categories different than them? Or do you always just want to be as big as you can be? Like if a giant is coming, I can go from medium to large to be the same size, or from medium to small to be too small to bash.
I guess there is a range of
Sorry, had the other kickass paladin female on the brain whose name escapes me for the moment.
I saw the logs, some of them at least. I was in the midde of reading a lot of them when the logs dissappeared from here yesterday...I'll pick up on more of them once the archives are linked.
I wasn't sure how much healing you lose out on if you have more protections, I'll have to k
I kind of figured that they are hidden around on corpses or whatever instead, but can't say for sure since I haven't checked them. It is a big world, I just have to start by figuring out where they aren't for sure....and even then I'm sure I'll be missing stuff.
Ahh, so there is an aura potion. I need to get my exploration char up some more in level to sort through a lot of the potion vendors out there to see what all of thier sale inventory is. I'll definately keep that on my list of things to keep an eye out for.
Wow, simple as that?
That makes me feel a little better, I haven't played many melee characters and was getting away from the invoker type because I haven't found a/b/s yet. When I read the stuff about getting preps as a pally I was worried that I was back to square one of needing to hunker down for some hard core exploration to locate said preps.
I was wanting to create a paladin and had noticed some remarks about Niheriva and some people saying that she should have prepped more in lieu of bringing in more people for a gank. This had me wondering what types of preps she would have had available to her as a paladin.
Without staves/wands/rods/scrolls, what else could she have done? I'm not looking for specific items of course, but I
