There's no fundamental difference, assuming we speak of Russians who know English well enough to play in a MUD (most don't).by Murphy - Main Board

During my half-year here I had the same feeling of wonder that I had when I was trying out my first MUD in 2003. Now, however, the feeling has passed somewhat and it seems boring even though I still have a lot of things to try. Skillsets can vary but the basic gameplay routine stays the same. I still enjoy interacting with people, including team PK, but if there isn't anyone to do things wiby Murphy - Main Board

Basically the only thing driving me nuts is a stronger character attacking me and making me flee (or unsuccesfully calling me out to fight) and later proceeding to tell me how great they are and that I am a weak coward. And they are very rarely classy about it, so RP or not, I consider this shit-talking and will use the ignore command. This game encourages survival, so IMHO not taking unnecessaryby Murphy - Main Board
Many people try to pull the "It's my RP" card to justify their shit-talk. It's lame, because most of the time it doesn't look like RP at all. edited to add: Competitiveness is only a part of what comprises CF as a game.by Murphy - Main Board
And what's wrong with allowing all warriors to have it? Warriors don't have "all other preps" (i.e ABS) to stack it on top of.by Murphy - Main Board
Transmuters have desensitize as their class spell. They'll still have it if you make the prep limited. Warriors won't.by Murphy - Main Board
But if it's forbidden for balance reasons, I'm okay with it. I never play villagers anyway.by Murphy - Main Board
Desensitize gives you 10% dam redux. How OP is that? How fun is having to struggle for limited preps when there are characters who basically have innate high DR or at least can collect and hoard their sleeks indefinitely?by Murphy - Main Board
It does say "Skill: frenzy" on the affects list, is undispellable and generally not magic as far as I can notice. Also, for sure any villager can eat high-quality morale-boosting foods.by Murphy - Main Board
The shifter under forget only dies if he is forced to revert due to running out of mana. Not if he is forced to revert by suggestion, this just wouldn't make any sense.by Murphy - Main Board

Just throwdown and proceed with crushingblow. Of course, there may still be a groupmate who screws you up by wielding a tiny iron dagger.by Murphy - Log Board
