I'm however all for good outlanders not laying waste in the cities. They should preach the ways of nature, not impose them, at least to non-evils. If you're a goodie outlander and you want to pk, there's whole empire and scion for you to fight. And good trib is a viable role, it's just extremely frustrating to play because goodie criminals bitch too much and for some reasonby Murphy - Log Board
What is strunking? I do not know such English word. Neither did I find it in dictionaries.by Murphy - Log Board
Just apply knockout poison and voila. Absolutely no counter to this tactic if you're alone.by Murphy - Log Board
And I guess that, indeed, for some people becoming emperor isn't major change at all.by Murphy - Log Board
It's still the same as I've seen it before you were a hero. Makes me sad.by Murphy - Log Board
"The corpse of Pandol lies beside a spray of its teeth, many with flesh attached." Shite, this mud is called carrion fields for a reason. I still occasionally find a corpse longdesc I've not yet seen. Gives creeps if your imagination is sufficient.by Murphy - Log Board
Fiends' attacks are mental damage, but berserking hardly gives you vuln mental. I mean, they're already fighting their fiends, and saves are checked in order to determine the strength of a fiend you're going to face, am I right?by Murphy - Log Board
Guess it also answers the question I asked after he posted the log from his pov.by Murphy - Log Board
So that they would play a larger part in actually gaining you ranks. Currently the amount of exp an average hero has gained from killing the same mobs over and over far outweighs anything he might have from exploring, raiding, doing quests and roleplayng, all combined together. Also, make skill gains from these activities more common and diverse.by Murphy - Main Board
Called focused fury, it apparently nullifies that minor mental handicap. I am quite surprised to hear that there even is such handicap in the first place (took the edge with my warrior because I thought it reduced skill penalties while berserking, but it didn't). Thinking of frenzy, it does not give you a hidden spell resistance like berserk does, so there's probably no mental handicapby Murphy - Log Board
I guess you meant this edge GIRDED METAMORPHOSIS A shapeshifter with this edge has learned to power their shapeshifting with their own lifeforce in times of dire need. If they would die because they must revert and are unable to do so, such as when they have no mana remaining and cannot remember how to take a humanoid shape, they will sustain their shapeshifting with their lifeforce instead.by Murphy - Log Board
Isn't it better to be more melee capable when fighting a phantasmal killer? The helpfiles don't mention anything about how berserking nerfs your mental resistance, but if there is influence, simple logic suggests it must be beneficial. I mean, isn't an enraged person kinda harder to scare with illusions?by Murphy - Log Board
And horribly abused your corpse, making some grisly trophies out of your skin, guts and bones. You know, the sort that fits so well over the fireplace, adding comfort to the interior. Probably a skull cup as well, nothing beats a skull wine goblet on the table! I also guess that "standing ovation" is an euphemism for them mocking you and gloating over their victory in a 5 vs 1 gank.by Murphy - Log Board
Did you have a personal quest to kill him, from your god?by Murphy - Log Board
And have flight up when you move through quicksandable terrain and know a hostile invoker is logged on. Heh, I was going to complain about boring invoker-vs-lowbie logs again, then remembered I've not yet read all the dwarfy stuff Sam posted. So nevermind me, I'll be happy until I'm bored with those as well.by Murphy - Log Board
Way to help your survivability by being randomly frozen here and there for several minutes.by Murphy - Main Board
It is safe to assume that I've had 600+ hours worth of gameplay through last three months, yet I can't think of so much stuff to post, even if I did like to post logs. Not even one tenth of what you poured down on us, I'd say. And I log everything. Everything.by Murphy - Log Board
I like how Mharlndarn always says destroy instead of kill. Sounds funny in phrases like "You tried to destroy me". Must be some quirk of scion transmuters to never say kill, I remember how Kharras was using the word murder in its place.by Murphy - Log Board
There is a reason they are called so. Worldbind comes to mind, and sleep as well.by Murphy - Main Board
Try a hand-to-hand spec, they are relatively uncommon. Swords as the other one, since you want them so badly.by Murphy - Main Board

I think it's still longer duration for marsh explorer everywhere, but doesn't have the extra effects and echo. Anyways, I decided against rolling one. They've more defense and less offense, and that kind of ranger is frustrating. Also, marshdwellers lose scrolls. That's a big hindrance, at least for me. I'll go for forester or mountaineer instead when I want an explorerby Murphy - Main Board
I'm used to it, I've played one mud with a steady 10 ppl online for years. No PK at all, not because of game system, just they're all ooc buddies (no rp enforced) and so the mud was skewed heavily to PvE... Thankfully, it provided enough PvE opportunities, and later having run out of these, I picked up area building to alleviate boredom for myself and others. Fun times.by Murphy - Main Board
In general, I don't like people who rely primarily on knocking you out. It removes all the excitement of combat, much like the assassinatey-assassins. And a thief has the best potential of actually doing some harm to the person he has knocked out. Steal all their inventory, blind them with pepper dust or have them blind from a trap in the first place, and they won't be able to teleportby Murphy - Main Board
