see how I said English and not SOME of the English? Your ideas and your writings come across as someone who is very young and with very little practical knowledge that they've actually learned from living life. You really need to grow the fuck up.by Lokain - OT Board

healthcare? Like instead of forking over our personal fortunes to the government to be used in a fractured beauracratic clusterfuck...we're free to use our own money as we see fit in a system to our liking? Fucking-a! That sounds fantastic. Only a lunatic would be against that kind of personal choice and freedom.by Lokain - OT Board
I'm not saying he could have prevented it. I'm not saying he's responsible. HOWEVER, I am saying that he knew what was going on. Selig is trying to come across as being totally innocent to what was going on in baseball for the past 15 years of his commisionership. Seriously, dude. Have you not heard the guy speak on the subject? He sounds like the emptiest suit in the wby Lokain - OT Board
The question isn't if Bud Selig is the root of the problem of the steroid era, because the answer to that question is clearly no. The question is Did Bud Selig know about the steroids in baseball long before BALCO, the Mitchell Report, etc etc and fail to act? Yes.by Lokain - OT Board

I think we could both agree that in todays politics and all the offensive campaigns launched at one another, that that day might be completely over.by Lokain - OT Board
I'd bet dollars to donuts that Hillary isn't on a VP ticket if Obama wins the primary. I see her as too big of a personality to settle for VP. Furthermore, I don't think Obama latches onto any kind of Hillary campaign if she wins it. It's incredibly rare for the #2 of the primary to latch on with the winner. First off, the 1 and 2 took so many potshots at each other that tby Lokain - OT Board

You're right on all accounts since we're just speculating. You've gotta remember though. With the dems you're going to have a compeltely disenfranchised group no matter who wins the primary. You're going to have a lot of disappointed women or a lot of disappointed blacks....so much so that any swelling of support they might have gotten had they won, might totally disapby Lokain - OT Board
Sure, it's a big win for Obama, but it's likely a win from a state that's not going to vote Dem in the general anyways. Iowa historically votes for Republicans when it's a choice between two new candidates and only votes Dem when it's an incumbant. To summarize: It's a bigger win for a Republican to win a red state than a Dem to win a red state. Also, I'by Lokain - OT Board
I believe in evolution but I could give two flying fucks if the guy I'm voting for does or not. As long as he doesn't bring his religious shit into solid policy making, I'm gold with him. Paul believes the states should have the authority to do whatever the fuck they want. I'm good with that. If Alabama feels it's a good policy to melt down two tons of gold and mold iby Lokain - OT Board
as long as he's not viewed as a viable threat then a lot of mud doesn't get slung and media outlets are not fed juicy tidbits from rival campaigns about someone's dubious past. I guarantee if Paul had made an impression in the last debate like Huckabee did, some of this stuff would have made it to the prime time news. However, since Huckabee is the current darling we get to hearby Lokain - OT Board
Back in 2000 McCain and Bush were in a virtual dead heat through the first 6 states. Bush won Iowa's silly caucus but then McCain destroyed him in New Hampshire. It was a virtual coin flip in the weeks going into the super Tuesday (that was then held in March I believe) until Bush started really destroying McCain in a horrible mud slinging campaign. And McCain, like a loyal party member,by Lokain - OT Board
Over the summer I believe you had a month when you were especially punchy and were called to question on something. EVERY issue that came up, you took the side that was on the opposite side of our country. And it wasn't just Bush policy stuff. It was everything. That's where it all came from. It wasn't only thing about Iraq and foreign policy.by Lokain - OT Board
He had the fortunate timing of being president when things were economically gravy through no fault of his own. The tech sector came into it's ridiculously wealthy adolescense when he was in power and the bubble burst right as he was getting out. On a global scale he had less problems to deal with than the current administration (both in situations reacted to and situations caused). On aby Lokain - OT Board
You must have missed the part where I made the statement about a small minority who actually backs Bush. We as Americans (the vast majority) are not currently rallying around Bush and his agenda. Those who currently support Bush respout his stupid propaganda and propoganda of the irrational right wing AM radio hosts. The VAST MAJORITY of Americans are not on that boat which is why it's siby Lokain - OT Board
Obviously I can tell the difference between you bashing Bush and bashing the US as a whole. What you've just said in your previous post is a good example of the former. The thread that I assume you're referring to and what I'm referring to was the latter. You're welcome to cite that thread and prove me wrong.by Lokain - OT Board
