But it would have to be after Zulgs post on sneak having 100% success rate when perfected (posted in previous thread.) Also, there must be some sort of check. Would it be completely random or affected by items you wear? Your dexterity? Weight? Because if Pro steps out on the Eastern twice in one run and I step out 3 times in 30 hours.. statistically that's pretty unlikely to not havby istirith - Main Board
Thieves are better at stealing and making allies so, if you are a competent thief you can probably offer up some trades for glowing gear if you are wearing it. Keeping your set limited to one piece of glowing gear won't matter much I don't think in the grand scheme of things. If what Pro says is true (which my gut tells me it is.) A few things Pro, did you spam the sneak skill foby istirith - Main Board
I wish I had it logged. I have played two sneaky classes recently one dark-elf assassin (which is different due to perma-sneak) and this thief. With the dark elf I noticed absolutely nothing like this unless the room was no longer civilized. I have played multiple sneaky classes over the years many many times dark-elf/felar/half-elf/half-drow/human assassins elf/human/half-elf thieves. Iby istirith - Main Board

For the record, I think inherent sneakers will not fail ever barring extenuating circumstances. I just wanted to know if sneak is one of those skills that always works when perfected, or sometimes does not.by istirith - Main Board
I just had typed 'sneak'. I'm sure of this. No typo. I wish I had checked affects before I ran but I was (in all cases) chasing to blackjack ie: tailing someone who was moving between areas. There was no point after level 11 when sneak had worn off me unless I was ranking or revealed (smoke mephit/water etc.) Even if I had left it long enough to wear off on the tick, it wouldby istirith - Main Board
No bizarre area effects, definitely in a civilized area (Eastern road the first time.) It happened a few times since and I without a doubt typed sneak, I pretty much spammed it with this character when I played it. I am actually 100% sure that it wasn't a typo. I didn't type any commands that would have otherwise brought me out of hiding. It happened at least 3 separate occasionsby istirith - Main Board
I play mainly dextrous low strength characters. Having a really low weight boat is a great help. I know it still exists in a different form but its pretty much pointless to use beyond level 5.by istirith - Main Board
How does it work? It was my understanding that when it was mastered you never ever stepped out of hiding in civilized areas unless the area was on fire/ashes or turned to woodlands by a druid. I ask because with a recent lowbie thief I found myself occasionally stepping out for no reason on roads. It may be possible that glowing/humming weapons/armor and/or wearing heavy armor affects sneak paby istirith - Main Board

Empire powers are ****ing awesome. Especially if you can get promoted into the upper echelons. Also, while they have huge numbers (generally) in comparison to other cabals, their lower rank members can tend to be incompetent as there is no rp/kill/other factor culling out weak players. Your only requirement is 'I wish to take the bloodoath' and be able to gather some gold. Like Zulgby istirith - Char Board
Realistically, would Ravon still be as deadly if he was Tribunal? I'd have to say no. How long would he last in a city when everyone knows exactly where he is. Talk about a sitting duck for gank squads.by istirith - Char Board

Especially to solo kill. A cloud giant ranger can land an UNSPEAK ambush and kill things outright but lower strength rangers, assassins etc all need to sit back and wait for the opportune time to ambush/attack.by istirith - Main Board
There is a decent FAQ that Bobbyp wrote on newbie pk on the wiki. I've made some editions. You might want to read up on it if you are still not so confident with PK.by istirith - Main Board
I would say if you are thinking of playing an orc (you will be hunted by many) so learn three things. How to run around well. Learn to run blind (counting steps and so on) especially on main roads. A lowbie ranger with pathfinding would to well in this ie: pre-11, good mv. Learn to find places to hide and rest, places other people would not think to look.
