You drove through a village in one of the Non-warring Arab nations? They literally have *nothing*. They may as well be living in mud-huts. It might be Oil money paying their wages, but their wages are so low they might as well be non-existent. There is no such thing as minimum wage in the Middle East, trust me on that. In Sunni run countries these are mostly Shi'a and low-standing familby istirith - OT Board
(Let me just state that by saying I agree with him on the no separation deal, I disagreed with the rest) There are several countries that has been a majority muslims but a secular government, for example Irak under Saddam or perhaps a better example is Turkey. Few countries have implemented "all out" Sharia laws and most that has them also has secular courts. (Fair enough, I agreby istirith - OT Board

Now the INITIAL families and the families of those that cosied up to them and kissed enough ass (or married into the initial families) have the wealth. The typical Arab has nothing (hence poorly spread wealth and power.) Through years of resentment at this lack of power* and money. They teach the West is to blame through their education systems and word of mouth, of course religion is deeply tiby istirith - OT Board
Poorly structured education systems, poor spread of wealth and most importantly massively flawed Western foreign policy (I say Western because the US wasn't in it alone.) Don't for one second believe that the moment that the first ambassadors from the West decided to trade Oil for money the Arabs were thinking 'I just don't like the way that guy looks, I think i'll Jihadby istirith - OT Board
I agree with your viewpoint mostly, local teams in any major sport cease to become local when they begin buying outside that region. This unfortunately happens to most popular sport. In this country that sport is football (soccer) I don't watch the Premier League for that reason. I do watch rugby, particularly large events when time presents itself since it isn't hyped up and advertiby istirith - OT Board
I've always been more fascinated with American politics than British despite British politics being closer to home. So, I pose some questions (being a little out of the loop living in the UK) to any that are reading this: Firstly, what outlets are there to follow the US elections? I saw snippets of the CNN (i think?) televised republican debate on youtube posted about a while ago. Iby istirith - OT Board
Regardless of Pro, I find your grasp of English fairly impressive. I can't imagine ever being able to speak Russian as fluently. In many instances English (being the hybrid language that it is historically) is one of the most illogical languages you can learn. Also I believe that your English has improved and is improving as you play more and more. Ignore the haters like Pro because,by istirith - Main Board
will do anything to alter the rites. Honestly, I think first and foremost this MUD has prided itself on the balanced and superbly tactical PK. I doubt anything will change. The arena is more of a 'Eternal Star meets PK' deal. PK with limited safety. Good for newbies and otherwise bizarre and unheard of PK matchups. All other things will remain the same. 1. Newbies learn the ropes of pk faster. 2.Characters near to con death can get a little more pk mileage. 3. Allies can fight each other. Because of rp restrictions some match-ups won't work outside but that can change now.by istirith - Main Board

tend to be the most dangerous.. really. Many of them will get the stuff from their cabals or through lowbie pks taking bits and pieces here and there. You have to believe me, if you loot a hero corpse you had better know how to pk or you will get ganked down for the leet gear quickly. of stuff that you and Yhorian pointed out BUT there is a couple of things you weren't aware of. 30 damroll might be pushing it, barring paying a thief 50 gold for a full set of midnight dragon but I think I could easily breach the 25/25 hit/dam mark now.by istirith - Main Board

I have no problem with all the criteria you lay down mostly except for the 30 damroll set. Seriously man, what race/class are we talking here? I can believe it with, for example, a fire giant warrior but is this possible with a felar assassin or the like? Furthermore, is this possible with a felar assassin without negating the majority of your hitroll. Finally, is it possible without taby istirith - Main Board
I thought it was capped at 80% pre-15. Also, it is possible to master defenses by 15. I have done it on my current character. Not for pk, but helps with tanking.by istirith - Main Board
