..I can't tell you how happy it makes me to see people stick around in iffy fights when they're hurt. I'm almost tempted to come back after seeing these logs. It's what you do at 30% health that makes you a man.

..it's kind of creepy that this debate seems to find its way to the foreground every so often so I'm going to go off topic here for a little bit to explain my viewpoint.
To preface this, 95% of my heroes have been ragers. I've been somewhat successful with them; had two or three on the pillar, no biggie. The reason I chose to play ragers (this was before the different paths were
I don't know while I was Shaidin I noticed some pretty pimp edges that really made the chars who they were ie wandering minstrel to me was pimp and then Zaka the gnome invoker had an edge that made his cone of cold lag and I'm sure there are countless others. To say that edges don't give a competitive advantage, I can't say I agree there. I just remember as Shaidin that a few
So I've been lurking for a little bit and I had a few questions. Keep in mind, I started in 94/95, but haven't played seriously recently except for Shaidin.
How's the playerbase?
How many more lurkers like me are out there?
Do I have to do mundane boring nonsense to get perks?
As an aside, two random questions:
When is the last time you played a character that was made to
It's the lobby groups and loopholes which are causing the major problems in tax revenue stream. The tax system needs a major overhaul with the IRS costing billions of dollars. The complexity of the system isn't helping anyone who isn't already extremely wealthy. Let me preface this all by saying, I'm not a fan of bloated government organizations with no competition and thus no
..one Imm comment isn't the end of the world, but it seems pretty ridiculous to put that comment in especially when you're playing such a tough role. I remember an Immortal taking away my friend's lich Orodeth's spells because he claimed that he killed someone in town as a lawful ethos. Lo and behold, after they made me put my warrior's skills on the line, I told them why
71% pk ratio while con dying and having leader con for about 10 total con and getting 3 extra con through a con quest.
Probably killed more with Ravenlok or Dvorak, but that was super old school.

..it's a pretty ridiculous game changer. More so then anything I've seen.
Chris, what's the math on it? ie what additional % of dam redux did you get through it?
-thinnie
..based on your logs, you took some chances so I don't really have any problems with you persay, but that is some super nasty dam reduction. Didn't it just feel unfair to you that people would barely knock you down 5 to 10% while you blasted them into the ground?

..and a lot of what you said is a great reason that many people beyond yourself haven't been able to break the seal on the super fun factor of this game. If I were you, I'd choose a cabal like ragers or fortress where prep'ing isn't too big of an issue and choose something super durable like a cloud/storm giant (giant resist). Then pick something with some good defensive capab
Really? What has been done that showed a significant upswing versus the cost?
I want to know where money has been funneled through the government to a market sector where it made sense. Let's prop up the housing market. Nope, Obama is going the opposite direction on that now thankfully. Let's prop up the car companies. Nope, the unions just got to keep their ridiculous structure in p
..I understand the government has a place in protecting our innate civil liberties, but beyond that it really shouldn't try to big brother the system.
"part of the natural capitalistic system is that it goes through ebbs and flows...yet when the government interferes it distorts that system and potentially makes bubbles/booms/recessions last longer and be more catastrophic"

..the reason CF has lots its playerbase is because they lost alot of loyal players while not gaining any new players. I truly believe the game has gotten too complex at this point. It's too difficult for new players to get into the game so now all you have is the vestiges of veteran players and some newer players who generally are going to quit before they get addicted. The veteran players u

This was a pseudo-fun quest for the village, but the best quest of all time was the Orihalcom Statue quest because it involved all of the cabals. Too bad we gay'd the wish up. That empty tower on the river by galadon will never go away thanks to us. Thanks Moridin =)

..I think it's hard coded where villagers can't use magic of any sort. If he found a loophole, it's a damn good one. I'm actually kind of curious now as to how he got it.
..but did those two listings show why PBFs haven't been purchased or the breakdown of PBFs that need to be purchased? Regardless, these sort of threads are good for the game just because if Imms read this forum at all, they'll get to see some sort of rationale as to what people regard as negatives to the game. Of course some of it is always terrible whining/complaining, but I'm su
..but I think a lot of that has to do with the lack of a playerbase. I've said it before, but I'll say it again. CF is exponentially more fun when there is a large playerbase. The trick now is how do we draw old veterans back and new players alike. I've always thought that randomly new players to CF probably have a 2 to 5% chance of staying whereas people brought in through friends
..I feel like CF will always have a niche audience regardless of how advanced gaming gets. There are always people who read and love the world which they can envision for themselves similar to what CF gives you. The problem I see right now is the lack of continuity ie things changing just for the sake of changing and the giant megacurve that was implemented with the prep system. This alienates bo
