Check out the most viewed videos on video.google.com from time to time. There's at least 3 videos on the first page about monetary policy and the federal reserve. There's several 9/11 'conspiracy' theory movies. Of course there's also a good mix of funny commercials and such, but it's very interesting to me to see what people are most interested in viewing. It does get into a bunch of 911 conspiracy theory stuff. I found the astrology ties to be very striking.by Rade - OT Board
Warning, there's like a 10 minute musical intro which is extremely boring. The rest of the video is a very interesting (albeit extremely antagonistic) look at world religions and their ties to astrology.by Rade - OT Board
Some days I feel strikingly Christian. Other days I feel there must be something out there greater than our possible understanding which one might refer to as a god(s). Still, other days I'm completely empirical about it and assume that unless proven no such thing could exist.by Rade - OT Board

It was in direct response to this: QuoteYour average nutjob won't find themselves a firearm in this country illegally. Only criminal organisations will, or hardcore criminals. Essentially suggesting that the illicit drug market would not be significantly different than the illegal gun market. The infrastructure is already in place.by Rade - OT Board
What percentage of illicit drugs sold in the US or Britain do you believe did not come through a major distribution of organized criminals at some point?by Rade - OT Board
Also, you can do 'yum update' on fedora so you can avoid the GUI. Then you can cntrl-C if you want to kill it at any time. (G)Ubuntu is probably similar in these respects, but I haven't tried it, so ymmv if you go with standard Ubuntu. Kubuntu has it's own update GUI tool, which has been responsive to me when I use it. Actually, there's 2-3 different GUI tools youby Rade - OT Board
QuoteBut, surely having a huge legal arms market is going to also facilitate the illegal arms market in a country. Making it easier to smuggle, purchase guns illegally? It's RIDICULOUSLY easy to get marijuana in the U.S. and it's been illegal for a long time. Banning firearms would barely be a speed bump in the process of getting one if you're willing to take illegal channels.by Rade - OT Board
By the time the general citizenry wised up to what a clusterfuck Iraq was (including the Brits) it wasn't worthwhile to go after Bush. With the way our term limits work he'll be out of office before anything meaningful happens. Our government works differently so we can't just 'out' the president simply because he's unpopular. And don't act like you Brits didby Rade - OT Board
And using unsecured wireless falls under that category.by Rade - OT Board
Government should be run by the people, not the other way around. An armed populace ensures some safety against a tyrannical government. The government should fear its citizens, not the other way around. To suggest that any nation could not regress and fall under a tyrannical leader shows a complete lack of knowledge of world history. Kubuntu for a nice easy setup. It's my 'workstation' OS. In case you didn't know... Kubuntu is just Ubuntu but with the KDE desktop instead of the Gnome desktop. I prefer the KDE toolset for general desktop crap. Redhat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) for running a server (a real one) because it's nice and stable and has Redhat support. For home stuff I just use Kubuntu orby Rade - OT Board

4. On the old forums, replies were ordered newest to oldest - top to bottom. On the new forum, it's the opposite. I could get used to the change if you really want to keep it that way, but it's really confusing because the old log board is still up.. so adjusting is awkward. 5. Because the width of the subject column is fixed (and really wide), it makes it difficult to easily assoby Rade - Main Board
1) Lose the hideous flag icon. Maybe make it a blue or green dot instead of the black dot... or a square for the color blind so you are still signifying what thread/posts are unread but it doesn't look stupid. 2) Change the tab order of the 'reply' page. When you are viewing the post the subject should get focus and then tabbing should take you to the message body next and theby Rade - Main Board
So I've been considering doing a little moonlighting for some extra cash. Most of the online sites for this type of stuff you compete with foreigners who will work for $5/hr or less. At topcoder it works a bit differently. You and maybe 5-6 other people basically compete and whoever has the best design wins the prize. There's usually also a second place prize. Anyways, if you win fby Rade - OT Board

A house is generally a 'safe' investment, but it's not generally considered a money maker if you live in it. Purchasing real estate you intend to rent out is a very valuable investment, but that's another story. Anyways, as your house value continues to grow you can't spend your house.. you can only re-mortgage against your equity which is going to make you lose a consiby Rade - OT Board

Could someone take the time to redo the CSS for the side panel? With the new look/feel of the forums the navigation panel is very difficult to adjust to. In the long run, since you're on some modern forum code, it might even be better to just have a single 'forums' page like most forums do. It's different than what we're used to around here, but it's pretty commonby Rade - OT Board
