... having a stake in the current 3-4 year view of the future (it's partially my job), once wealth shifts more and we hit another "revolution" of change in jobs - it isn't a bright future. Tim O'Reilly has a conference in about a week talking about the "new economy" and there are a lot of futurists that feel that our government is going to either collapse underby torak - OT Board
And it hasn't been finished in years, so have fun waiting :)by torak - Main Board
It was one of the first things to show up that other forum, and has been posted here more than once (usually deleted but not today). Ironically it showed up everywhere because they released something that had all helpfiles public on the website, include "imm only" ones. It wasn't because of some "Immortal leak".by torak - Main Board
In all seriousness, having 50+ people a night to play D&D doesn't happen.by torak - OT Board
PK is there, it's just not as rampant. It's definitely a lot more focused on RP, and yeah they put CF to shame - the power of the advanced emoting is amazing. It also helps that it has 50+ players every night ;)by torak - OT Board
This just puts the nail into the coffin for a lot of them. Now it's just incredibly hard to get any... without more direct Imm involvement (woohoo, more heavy handed catering). I can't imagine trying an AP these days.by torak - Main Board
I'll probably get flack for saying it but I've lost count of how many times it was "planned" to release. They really need to get more programmers.by torak - Main Board
Got pretty far, T6 gear and buildings, lived in the Black... just the Claymore crap was frustrating. oh and Armageddon MUD is awesome :)by torak - OT Board
The guy put in a lot of effort there talking with Melissa, shame they just randomly decide what's right or wrong.by torak - Log Board
-Healers lost offensive gate -Paladins have 2-round wrath -Druids... lost transmute? The herb change doesn't affect much for lowbie fighting. Just found it funny as I think the druid was the worst "murder lowbie" of the bunch.by torak - Main Board
I guess I just remember Ambra more fondly than most.... something tells me some serial asshole players are going to be making some.by torak - Main Board
Looks pretty neat - full looting, crafting, rp enforced, account-based char creation, Dark Sun themed, and lots of peeps. Just wondering if anyone gave it a whirl.by torak - OT Board
Having taken this recently... it's not worth it for either.by torak - Main Board
You can run into larger groups obviously but the majority of fights are smaller skirmishes involve sub10 people on both sides. GvGs are also ONLY 5v5 or 20v20 and 5v5 is way more common. It's pretty cool that when defending territories you do it with your top 5 peeps.by torak - OT Board
It's like Ultima Online on crack - action based MMO. There's no real story - player-based economy, castle sieges and full looting pvp in a territory fight between guilds. Your skills are based on what you wear... each piece of armor and weapon gives a series of ability choices. For example, fire staff obviously gives you fire spells and divine staff gives you healing... but you canby torak - Main Board
I get a mount eventually if people do :)by torak - OT Board
The "pay to win" is similar to the style of EVE - you can buy "premium" with money or in-game currency (which is incredibly incredibly easy, I've played for a week and I bought 6 months premium in-game already) which makes you learn a little faster and gather a little faster. You can play completely without it and be fine (and several do, as they spend their currency on oby torak - OT Board
Let me know if you do, in a sweet guild.... lots of pvp roaming, including the ever entertaining merc style demanding money from caravans :) I also get free stuff if you sign up with my link:by torak - OT Board
...even Android tablets. It's meant for potato computers :Pby torak - OT Board
Full loot pvp, no class training system, good payment model, player housing, pvp/gvg at its core, player run economy, etc. Basically an improved UO/RuneScape/etc with a lot of influence from EVE.... Kripp was streaming it last night, looked fun.by torak - OT Board
IV is the same no matter what level you are. It's 3 hidden stats of attack, defense, and stamina. I had a link in what I just posted above - there's a tool called "IV Rater". If I'm level 15 with max IV, and someone else crappy IV at level 15, their hp and CP max will be much lower. Max IV is 1 out of 4,000 stat combos - hence why my perfect Arcanine is nutty ;)by torak - OT Board
Perfect IV stats is a big deal :) If I was your level... mine would have a much higher CP.by torak - OT Board
Perfect IV stats.... drool.by torak - OT Board
