You can use these totems to pop around thera really fast. As your ancient instincts % gets higher, you also start to see other stuff in common wilderness areas, like shortcuts and preps. Using these will also increase your % the first time, I think.

You cannot use these preps and shortcuts all the time. I believe the preps have a certain respawn time and the shortcuts require a high wilderness time and ancient instincts % to see consistently.

I would disagree about it being harder than sleeks, but it's not meant to be easy.

This. You don't have to kill any insanely tough mobs or go through crazy explore areas to find the ones for AI spots. (n/t)
