Ranking is dull. (even in a group it is often rote monotonous activity with no meaningful interaction)
Skill practice is dull.
Gathering preps, gear and gold is beyond boring.
PK is boring as hell and tedious as a stand alone, I may as well be fighting an NPC with how scripted 90% of fights feel.*
Exploration is moderately fun, if you are actually in a place that is new.
Meaningful RP based player interaction is fun.
Imm Interaction is fun.
*PK is not always player interaction, random murder alls that do nothing but attack on sight with no RP do nothing to enhance CF. Being able to engage with people pre or post PK can be fun, when people aren't OOC douches that say you only won cause of X or you're a coward for not standing and dying to me and so on.
But the actual fight itself is not really all that enjoyable, at least for me. How fun is it to be any char walking down eastern, random orc dashes, in, perma lags you through bash spam and kills you, and that's it? The relative safety by which most people are willing to engage in PK with any risk just kills it for me, and I'm among the most conservative players to ever play CF.
I would take your orc as an example. I hated Krunk for plenty of IC reasons, but I never hated you for playing Krunk in the manner he was played. You engaged, Krunk had RP, you were entertaining and challenging and made CF more fun, even if you religiously curb stomped me. But if you played Krunk on permanent quiet mode, I'd have probably thought you were the biggest POS in CF.
Without attached RP, PK is utterly pointless and boring. You may as well play any FPS instead, you'll have more frequent action and about the same level of caring about the outcome. Because without RP, there's no engagement or real investment, and when you're not engaged, you don't really care what happens. Chars that have no defined RP will delete far more often and sooner than others, even if both characters engage in the same amount of PK action relatively.
