Two assumption here that I think may be flawed. First that the game is about imposing your will on someone. I think that most people would tend to say that it's about your PK count. Yes, making me run is a good thing, but in the end when the PBF is posted, you will not see stats on how many times you made a guy run with his tail between his legs, you will see the stats on how many times you were killed vs killing someone else.
Second, the assumption that this had anything to do with Alignment. It very well could have been a bad matchup that caused this not the alignment of the two.
I think you have to look at the total character, not just the individual matchups. I think if you take two equally competent players, put them behind the same builds, make one good, and the other evil, you will see, statistically, the Evil rack up more PK's if they both play their alignment as it should be played. I think that is what may be at issue here. With your example, if both players were equal, say you and someone else, cause I suck. Both played 600 hours. Player A(goodie) makes Player B(Evil) run every time, but then in the end Player B pulls out one kill on Player A. Definitly say that Player A has the advantage in this matchup. But let's look at what their kill stats are in whole. I would bet, and Valg has confirmed, that Player B has more PK's than Player A, if Skill level, and build are relatively equal. And in a game, where success is predominatly defined as how many people you killed, I would say that Player B has the advantage overall, and would be considered more successful by the other players after 600 hours.
