Arials are number 1, beating all other races by 10 which is a significant number considering the pool. The other two races I mentioned are both in the top 6 out of 16 races. The point I made was that when rolling a rager there are some obvious choices: arial, cloud giant, or svirf because of their obvious advantages (fly and stone skin). To me, being a rager isn't supposed to be easy. There shouldn't be any shortcuts. It should be a hard grueling fight to the top. And your reward for this grueling fight to the top are top notch powers and the loss of the need to prep (for the most part) which can easily consume up to 20% of a characters life, if not more.

Again, I'm not trying to rant about overpowered ragers or overpowered races, it just seems like their taking a shortcut when playing a rager by choosing arial/cloud/svirf, and I think that shortcut should be nullified because it seems like there are too many people taking advantage of it recently. The last time I was logged in there were like 4 arial ragers and 1 svirf online in my range. I was thinking to myself: "Really? This doesn't seem to bother anyone else but me?" So I brought the discussion here.

Again. Not overpowered. No huge loss of power is necissary. Simply something small, but annoying that would make it less of an obvious choice.

Why does it feel like every villager now-a-days is svirf, arial, or cloud?

In Which We Discuss Why You are Mistaken:

Arial warrior is the third most popular combo in the game. (n/t)

Well, only two resist lightning items in the game, and ragers can't use one. Not to mention they have no way to resist water.

Sam January 28, 2012 04:25PM

I disagree...

wrathpuppet January 28, 2012 11:52AM

So you don't see it as a shortcut?

K-B January 28, 2012 12:22PM

Ragers are not Masochists

Moligant January 30, 2012 12:15PM

No, I don't.

Sorry, just because something has been around with nothing changing for a long time is not a valid argument against change. (n/t)

Now you're just putting words in my mouth.

How many of those felar and human were neutral? (n/t)

Artificial January 28, 2012 04:27AM

11/19 Felar 10/14 Human (n/t)

wrathpuppet January 28, 2012 04:30AM

Just going by PBFs for all times, we see that there are 25 goods, 176 neutrals, and 90 evil in battle.

Artificial January 28, 2012 04:39AM

Neutral battle means unless you're a dwarf, no fighting Outlanders, and obviously minimally fighting Fort. Main benefit? No prot v neutral in the game :) NT

Sam January 28, 2012 04:22PM

On the other hand, Fort mages are more likely to play conservatively against you.

DurNominator(VIP) January 29, 2012 03:52AM

forgot about the arials...how bout them? (n/t)

Artificial January 28, 2012 04:33AM

19/29 Arials. Is lame ranking not enough of a downside for neutrals? (n/t)

wrathpuppet January 28, 2012 04:39AM

Clearly not, because of the significant advantage in fighting nexus and people with protection, imo, with zero downside. (n/t)

Artificial January 28, 2012 04:40AM

I don't understand what you want.

wrathpuppet January 28, 2012 04:53AM

I don't understand your argument at all

vortexmagus January 31, 2012 01:41AM

Does anyone actually argue that ranking as battle is hard? You have 2 of your bros with you. No ones gonna jump you.

Artificial January 28, 2012 05:00AM

I'm talking about the lack of an XP modifier for neutrals. As for Nexus:

I dare you to make a svirf or cloud rager and manage a positive pk ratio.

I loved my svirf and cloud ragers. Maybe you just need more practice since Boggom was horrible. n/t
