I think we have different ideas of how binding works

July 11, 2012 05:03AM
First and formost, if you are a human at max charisma you should need to put additional mana into a bind just about never. The only time to consider it would be if you failed your second binding attemp and your circle was weakened on both (it is possiblek to fail and they don't try to attack you rarely).

If you play an arial, svirf, gnome, dark elf thats when you actually need to use mana on your bind.

The mana put into the bind ONLY affects landing the bind spell succesfully. It will in no way shape or form affect how the servitor acts once it is bound.

You can choose to play ultra catious and always use lots of mana in the bind but you are kicking yourself in the ass. To be successful as a conjurer (in a PvP sense) it is all about balancing your timers. Those extra hours you spend regening mana can make it more difficult to do so (especially if you are a human and generally your pets come fairly happy)

If you want to tank in pve, Fluid Deceptions wins, hands down. Arial sword fluid/flow is the very, very best. (n/t)

Artificial July 11, 2012 03:32PM

I've seen it! It's amazing (n/t)

Demtok July 11, 2012 03:51PM

When you had that newb make an arial spear/hand to tank your hell trip? (n/t)

kanye July 11, 2012 04:45PM

Spear/hand? No, it was an arial sword spec elite blade

Demtok July 11, 2012 06:05PM

Depends what you want to tank

wrathpuppet July 11, 2012 06:41AM

honestly servitor happyness is much more dependant on charisma then alignment/ethos

Quas July 11, 2012 08:17AM

This is a bad example

DurNominator(VIP) July 11, 2012 08:24AM

I'm pretty sure optimal for devil is orderly evil, not chaotic. Devils = Wishmaster. Demon = Freddy Crougar (n/t)

Matrik July 11, 2012 10:10AM

And I said alignment, not ethos.

DurNominator(VIP) July 11, 2012 10:21AM

Fair enough. Either way if it threw a couple of us off, I don't feel bad about clarifying. (n/t)

Matrik July 11, 2012 10:54AM

I can understand how it threw you off.

Charisma Conj Question

skyhawk July 11, 2012 06:51AM

you don't have to train it to max

Quas July 11, 2012 08:23AM

Sounds good

skyhawk July 11, 2012 09:06AM

Orderly good gets the best archons.

DurNominator(VIP) July 11, 2012 09:15AM

your ethos isn't going to matter in most practical situations

Quas July 11, 2012 09:42AM

Pretty much any time I died that stupid mask from Galadon was looted. I don't know why. Even if they took nothing else, the mask would be looted (n/t)

Artificial July 11, 2012 08:45AM

Likely they hadn't seen it. I always loot things I haven't seen if only to lore/ID. Never had a conjurer so I'd be taking that shit. (n/t)

Matrik July 11, 2012 10:12AM

Always have max charisma.

Gnome water/utility or utility/water shifter or shield paladin then.

DurNominator(VIP) July 11, 2012 06:21AM

human shield paladin. No limits. Great tank. Always fun. Storm giant even better if you can deal with never going through gnome sized exits. (n/t)

Matrik July 11, 2012 06:07AM

A little bit of lube helps me get inside gnome size exits.... (n/t)

Quas July 11, 2012 05:03AM

The function of putting more mana into bind

DurNominator(VIP) July 11, 2012 05:27AM

mana into a conjure can up the tier, extend duration or both, not just extend duration
