Quick rundown of the role was that he was the bastard child of a human slave in the underdark who was raped by another crazed dark-elf slave. He became the tool of dark-elves and was molested, raped, and tortured until they believed him to be completely broken in every way. Then they threw him in a dump and went of to find something else to poke and prod.
He manages to survive, crawls his way almost to the surface, but realizes the hole he's found to daylight isn't big enough to get him out. All the anger of a young lifetime boils over, and out of him (first magic) and the wall explodes. He has no recollection of it because he passes out.
Living as a vagrant in a city, completely broken and scarred, barely able to speak, he's found by a dark figure (which would have been badass to have an Imm step in and have this figure return to his life later) as he's trying to panhandle/steal to feed himself.
The man trains him in shapeshifting, knowing that he doesn't have the experience or control for the greater magics.
Repayment comes in the form of joining the fold, and pursuing the destruction and domination of the world. A goal suited to Lirieleth, who swore to harm anything and everything that existed to make it feel the same pain he did.
All in all, it was a fairly open ended role that I thought begged for an Immortal to say hey, look at that, I bet I could show up as a tormentor, the dark figure, etc, and jump right into something from his past. Apparently I was wrong.
