I'm not sure I detect much of a selective process behind it. And equally you flipped out on me thinking I'd looted a bunch of your stuff (after your druid attacked my friendly druid) when I had only moved it in order to sort it. Going back a couple of years, but still... glass houses, stones etc. Not that my own rp is always adhered to, sadly.by daurwyn - Main Board
I found bloodritual good with pc bodyparts. Stuff like haste, long duration enlarge, resist mental etc. Soot ritual was frigging amazing. Resist light, the heal of 2x level, the ability to turn the room to ash (then bash ranger), or burn off spores etc was fantastic. The mana refresh should have been fixed. Valg (or someone) told me they fixed that when I posted about it. Maybe post agaby daurwyn - Char Board
Often it drops you to 1 hp, from whatever you are at. So basically you need to unlag before the tick and heal enough to take the damage from faceslash, poison or whatever, before it goes through. I remember killing people outside of my pk as an AP like that. Never got charges, but always wondered if it was possible. (The echo was like that you get from someone not worth any charges.)by daurwyn - Log Board
I believe I could relatively easily do a 100 charge weapon. But I still wouldn't know where to look for the mask, because I've never been past the first circle.by daurwyn - Main Board
Ultimately, many ap fights are only "safe" if you use abs. If you don't, it makes a lot of sense to go in holding a wand of return, particularly if you are fighting a couple of enemies at ones and also if you don't know their weapon specs. I've only ever done it once myself, but if you don't know a barrier source, I can see plenty of situations where it makes sby daurwyn - Main Board
Which makes it almost impossible to kill him.by daurwyn - Main Board
Because all I did was correct a spelling mistake in my own post, then add a bit in square brackets at the end of Pro's post saying that I was testing whether or not I could edit it. I didn't remove anything he wrote at all. I just added a bit saying or something along those lines.by daurwyn - Feedback
Sometimes I raided outlander with Victoria, alone, and had to back off from the spirit because of the damage I took from Bioempathy through protections. Then there was the bug that dropped me from about +600 mana to -600 mana when I energy drained it.by daurwyn - Main Board
I know you jumped me a couple of times in Galadon, and when people recalled there to escape me you jumped them too.by daurwyn - Char Board
The last guy to kill me, got no shit, because he deserved none. But some guy that spouts off to me, then is scared to fight me alone (in which case I'd ask why he spouts off), is going to get shit from me whether he kills me with a gang or dies to me with his gang.by daurwyn - Char Board
When Ravon is on alone, I think he must be exploring. I rarely see him raiding.by daurwyn - Main Board
Outlander lowbies can't really affect highbies who have good saves. Trib lowbies can affect wanted outlander highbies (with manacles, even if the guards don't do much).by daurwyn - Main Board
There are, in fact, spears that cannot be dropped due to strength loss that are not no-disarm. But even a decently light spear will do the trick in most cases. Plus bloodlust is extra strength.by daurwyn - Main Board
Well, I played Sossaphrin with a spear. Pre-dexy, pre edges. Spear is decent defense even pre-spin (which it was). It's ok offense (although probably less so now that people can learn from the weapon their enemy uses). With a felar, it would be melee with the ability to vault if you get them down or trapped. lNormally that's not an option if you are using a different weapon. Surby daurwyn - Main Board
If they have the head. At least, last I knew the position that was the case. Don't bother using blindness magic on a rager with the head (unless he's slept in which case you might as well). If you must blind/disarm or something, use dirt kick.by daurwyn - Main Board
I know I discovered uses for stuff that is considered by the majority to be useless. If someone had told me that it was useless from the start, I might never have experimented in some cases.by daurwyn - Feedback
Every other race has to give up more to take advantage of the advantages of a spear, and a spear IS a very nice weapon. Remember that if you are caballed, as well, you don't necessarily have the be the one making someone sleep.by daurwyn - Main Board
I seem to remember doing the first drow aps in this age (both pre and post dex changes). At least the first to build weapons of note. Personally I think the felar claw attacks whilst using spear (or possibly even polearm now, although polearm is a weapon I don't like for pk), the better hp, decent dex, some of the edges and the gear make a felar a decent ap. I don't think they needby daurwyn - Main Board
If someone makes one mistake and lets something slip through in a log, it is much easier (and more helpful) to remove the one thing that slipped through and leave the rest.by daurwyn - Feedback
It's way more likely to be used to remove bits of log that would cause the whole log to be pulled were they not otherwise removed.by daurwyn - Feedback
And before anyone says that felar are the weakest aps, I'd dispute that.by daurwyn - Main Board
In your case, use a shield (are you?). Use damage spells. Against the assassin... I told you axe is not good except for shield cleave, because it is easily dodged. So unless you can get his dex down (or really cripple his strength so he is carrying more than max weight) you shouldn't use it much. Use something else he doesn't know, such as whip (which is not great, but is better tby daurwyn - Main Board
Just as spelling mistakes are easy to see past, in that you can understand the intended message without much effort, so is capitalisation (or lack thereof). I agree that some basic punctuation is needed to avoid ending up like that chapter in James Joyce's Ulysses (which was even more painful to read that the rest of the incredibly boring book). Other than that, I'm reasonably happyby daurwyn - Main Board
QuoteDervish1. I have lowbie human ap now and fought a bit already. I've found that I severely outmeleed by all warriors/assassins/rangers. I can blind them (usually from 2nd attempt) but at that time I have ~50% health and they are barely scratched. I use heavy spear/sword/axe, I know their weapon, and my parry is on 92%-98% {{ Since you are a lowbie ap, pick weapons that they don'tby daurwyn - Main Board
You do realise that your spelling of exibit and aggrivate are both wrong, I think, no matter whether you are using US or UK spellings? People do this kind of stuff whilst typing, but it isn't hard to see past it to the meaning, imho, so it's not normally worth worrying about in my eyes.by daurwyn - Main Board
I do use the shift key, but for fuck's sake! It doesn't change your understanding at all! If you can imagine text being speech, I'm sure you could imagine the first letter of each tell and the first after each full stop as being punctuated! Clearly the issue is that using the shift key can slow typing. Myself, it gives away my characters because quite often the second letteby daurwyn - Main Board
