There are spots you can't hide in, but a ranger can't camo in, that will cause you to step out when walking. West of Hamsah gate a good example. Just put that hilite in for when you step out, then hide again.
Haven't noticed stepping out automatically otherwise.
Gets harder once folks start getting more HPs, shields, can cast Word of Recall, and such, but pre-35 thieves are capable of killing in lots of different ways.
As long as you can hide and know your way around Thera, you can catch folks off guard and get some cheap kills with any thief build pre-20. Afterward you really need some of the thug or binder skills. There are lots of cheap tactics to
I used to play then too. I never ranked past 30. I perma'd with a friend and we'd just rape everyone. We group killed. We full looted not to be dicks (we were already enough) but to sort through all the loot, ID it all, etc. It was fun, but it got old and did F over others playing on the same perma field.
We ended up teaming together instead by playing totally different characters w

It is boring. I usually have one character I'm serious with, and then one lowbie I train with when I need that mud fix (however lame it is) but have to worry about wife/kids/boss or just want to veg out.

Hunters look very appealing, but I've never met any deadly ones in the game and figured they are hard to land kills with (if rangers pre-snare rank weren't already hard enough to).
