The biggest reason for me is not on your list: the fact that I feel guilty about wasting time on CF. You know how it is, going to hit 40 soon, there's always something more urgent on the list... and even if I ever got to 200-300 hours on a character, I'd feel crappy knowing that I could've spent that to improve on some real-life skill or achieve one of the myriad of my goals.

The last episode or two are just a fucking cop-out. Don't go fight-club route, just go for the straightforward story goddammit. We'll see what season 2 brings.
Duergar AP defended really well. No dodge and I'm assuming weapons not in high percentages (he was level 17). Really interesting. Then he totally collapsed at the very end.
I know that vine in Ysigrath was placed by imms for their mortals' practice.
I also know that people started tracking mob-deaths of Nepenthe's mortals and noticed that he was hanging out in the coral palace a lot.
So was there actually something there or was that an urban myth?
Stop leveling at rank 15.
Find 10-15 mobs that still give you exp when you kill them (even if it's 1 exp).
Remove as much str/dam gear as you can (I typically spam with one glowing item so that I can see in the dark and a weapon).
Start on the first mob, when it gets down to writhing, hit 2.mob. Cycle through them all.
When the last one is hurt, flee and go to a room that has a closabl
Very, very cool character, even if we had limited interactions.
I can't guess who's playing whom and I don't really know who your alts are, but from talking to you, it was obvious that you are of the top-notch quality. If CF loses people like you, then it's a huge hit.
I have much less experience lately with CF, so when I see something that bugs me and/or I think is bro
Haven't read anything about this path in a while. Way back when, I had one and it seemed an interesting mix for exploration and ar-peeing, but it was lacking in PK.
What do people think of them these days?
Hey guys, want to hear the opinion -- what's considered an overpowered race+class for February 2016 with this twist: it's easy to play for noobs? Possibly include cabal too.
I don't have any abrasive substance and I also don't have ladyhole. What's up with insults?
This is my position: don't drag any family mentions, no matter how innocuous, into CF. It tends to snowball quickly.
Pixies are smaller than gnomes, by 1 size. This is as small as it gets.
Dragons are larger than giants, by 1 size. This is as large as it gets.
Sorry, did I misunderstand your question?
Higher STR = higher dam roll. Dam roll gets added to your weapon's strike for that round.
Example: suppose you have a very special weapon that's basically 20d1. This means that you always hit for 20 points constantly. Say your dam roll is +10. That means that you will always have constant damage of 30 on every hit.
Help 3259 talks about strength and lists tables for weight carrie
How the fuck do you people gear for +10 STR, hit 29 and dam 42 on level 24? I mean wtf. A lucky loot?
On the topic of skills: wait, are we now saying that skills and defenses do matter after all? I admit I haven't followed CF for a while, but wasn't it a received wisdom that Nep said that percentages don't really matter that much?
Hey amigo,
You raise interesting point about expectations. But here are a few comments.
* I don't think that duergar warrior is supposed to be significantly worse than d-elf asassin in general.
* This case in particular, I'd assume that duergar mace spec warrior would damage assassin more because assassin doesn't know maces.
* I'm not saying that duergar should d
Ok, let's do some statistics.
Total number of rounds: 9
Duergar managed the following damage:
* 1 bash
* 1 hit from standard combat.
* 1 hit from active skill - backhand.
... against foe who doesn't know this weapon at all.
Assassin parried 4 times.
Assassin dodged 11 times.
Assassin blocked with shield 3 times.
Assassin managed 12 hit total: 7 hits from sword a
