I haven't played in quite a while seriously but it used to be that good-aligned ragers were not allowed to kill non-mage Forties on fear of an alignment change. This wasn't the case back when I had a Maran versus Trewyn but sometime later it became a no-no.
By all rights - an elf rager should - if not hate - at least have tons and tons of problems with any goodies in Fortress. If you truly believe magic is beyond the control of man and an imminent threat to every being in Thera, you'd begrudgingly kill the shit out of any Maran or otherwise protecting magi or using magic.
The problem with that is a RBW vs a Maran is no where near a fair fig
Just my thoughts, no one has any obligation to give a fuck :). Personally, I think Flynn discussing sanctions with Russia prior to election is not a big deal. I don't actually care at all about that. That being said, if it's discovered that there was any collusion between Russia and Trump and his campaign - then I hope he goes to jail, regardless of what I otherwise think about his p
But they used to try to trick invokers who were using triggers for eating/drinking and then immslay them if they fell for it (like drinking after you just drank). I only know this because this happened to one of my first characters.
That was a long ass time ago but the long-held belief was aliases are fine, triggers are not.
I don't consider anyone willing to work as 'useless'. They fall into the 'useless' category when wages are so low they aren't worthwhile and that's only the case because we can buy our goods from China for 1/10th the price anyway.
Is just because it was an easy way for me to frame this in the context of a concrete situation rather than hypotheticals. The fact that he wrecked his back working his replacement job this weekend (he started working for the MTA about 3 years ago) also is a topic fresh in my mind. In his case he'll probably come live down here with me and my family so it's not going to be a big deal.
I'm not baptist yet but they have a phrase of "I'm not perfect but I am saved". We cannot achieve perfection, we can only actually make an effort to be better than we were yesterday.
We're certainly not running into issues with over-supply in the United States of software development skills at least. Not yet. I'm not talking about the tech industry when I mention opportunity though. My father worked his whole life in print shops - an industry that doesn't exist really anymore because of technology. Leaving that industry leaves him with little choices as a m
Over time there simply won't be enough low skilled labor jobs available for anyone in any country.
Years ago I was very very much against any kinds of social programs of any sort.
Now I see them as the only humane option in the world we live in - one that's easily achievable to us.
And in general yes, I tend to agree that some form of wealth redistribution is essentially what
And you gotta go and post something like this which gives me a strong desire to insult you (I won't). Don't you get it? There's a huge difference between the obligations of the government to the rights and interests of American citizens and their obligations to the rights and interests to citizens of other countries.
"You are not allowed to wear this piece of clothing bec
Where you get enough innate damage reduction or mitigation via dex that you can play hit and run with them.
Below that, especially without wands, a warrior rager will just "pray for deathblows" and generally outtrade you.
Then you get to a point where everything is at level 5 and you just want to kill people. That's where the vastness of the game can get to you easily. Once you progress to a point where you're comfortable doing roaming gangs on voice comms and move deeper into space people start "clumping" a lot more and you can't get a fight that doesn't involve the enemy baiting y
I like the US, I think it's the best country to live in (I may be biased) but I think as with anything else we took an approach of free trade and we need balance that now with some healthy protectionism just as a way to push the needle in the right direction for our blue collar laborers.
...can't develop skills because those skills are hired abroad for a fraction of the price of their rent? I don't look at us as being in constant competition with the world. That ended with the advent of the nuclear bomb. Instead I see the role of the United States government to create good conditions domestically, the best conditions possible - not to win the GDP race. I value the q
There's so much of this country undeveloped. It's not about the money, it's about wasted work force. People wanting to work but not having any options that provide:
1) A job they can actually do - ie, not everyone can haul 60" chainsaws all day.
2) A job that pays a living wage - ie, there's no point in having a job that can't even keep a car on the road with w
You're looking at things in a microscope. Tourism doesn't matter to a significant percentage of the 250 million wage-earning adults in this country. You can't get a job making furniture because the United States cannot produce furniture in the USD that is anywhere on the same level of cost basis as people who are producing timber through indentured servitude. Being in the south
FWIW I'm in the process of "retiring" at 33 on a farm I bought in Georgia :). I'm doing fine, I'm sure my actual children will do just fine as well but I'm talking about as a political stance that's what I'd like to see here in this country.
In particular where I am now in Georgia there's hundreds of thousands of acres of land held by the government
Some of my longest lasting and fondest mud-memories are trying to complete a quest that was broken and theorizing about to complete it with people over AIM. I'd try this quest with every char I rolled for probably years until it was confirmed for me that it's just broken.
Don't be a douche and coordinate gear hording (hold this weapon for me til I hero kinda shit) or cabal alli
Forget anyone telling you to keep to yourself and hide in a room - having played this game for as long as I did I can tell you that people obviously talk to each other. Imms, players - it's always been this way and it's how the game should be played. The whole tight ass about quest thing is stupid - it keeps people away from the game when they have to learn a billion things with very
The thought that multiplayer games should be played in complete isolation without information sharing is counter to human nature. No one has the right to tell you that you can't talk with other people. It's a silly notion that has hurt this game so much.
Too much "downtime" for my tastes. As Torak mentioned small roaming gang fights were lots of fun but you'd spend 4 hours flying around hoping to get a 5 minute engagement that wasn't insanely lopsided. I had play sessions where I'd fly around for hours and not find any good targets and when you're not PVP'ing in that game...well...it's boring as fuck.
Why do you care what America is to the rest of the world? Would you rather we be well liked while having major gaps in the job market here causing suffering and economic strain domestically?
Short of us getting nuked I could hardly give two fucks what the rest of the world thinks. I want more job diversity for my children and I want to narrow the gap between the 'haves and have nots
