Of the util majors I've had, I'd rank them, highest to lowest:
trapdoor spider
hyena
wildcat
fox
Trapdoor spider hits fairly hard and often, but it totally sucks against players (gets parried/dodged very easily). An awesome pve form though.
I'll see if I can find the actual numbers I got. I tested it by conglaciating a room (conglaciation always deals the exact same amount of damage, based on your max hp) and putting up shields one by one.
I've never been able to conclude any other difference than direct song level boost from charisma, which is +1 level per 1 charisma around the normal charismatic range, at least.
Last time I had a bard, I got to 40, and my songs were level 55 at best (right instrument, tipsy, edges kicked in), so -4 levels there from 18 chr wouldn't probably be such a big thing.

At least you didn't get pulled aside, threatened and CALLED BY YOUR REAL NAME (yeah, that really creeped me out) when I refused to admit guilt to transferring the choicy bits of gear I found dumped in a remote area, and then finally let go without punishment because he didn't really have any proof, just decided to be a complete asswipe for no reason.
Such as mages and a-ps losing all spells, rangers camo, etc. Since I haven't actually experienced that myself, I can't remember anything more specific.
Still, rest assured, you ARE going to be COMPLETELY gimped if your align changes without imm sanctioning.
