The community around FSV CF is certainly part of the reason I view CF as not worth the time anymore.
CF may have its ups and downs, but the entitlement attitude of the vocal FSV crowd (not everyone who accesses that site is a jack ass but the more vocal people tend to devolve in their discussions- though some are far more able to discuss things in a civil manner), and all their incessant finger pointing and whining about things like the glory days of CF and the evils of Baer have gotten so damned old that it helps render me unwilling to play CF, or really even participate in the forums like I used to. And the only way I might play CF again is by scanning the forums and getting that old itch to play again. (clash of clans does get me curious at times, but then QHCF and the main forum squelch that notion real quick)
The FSV people and their attitude towards others and the Imms makes me realize one of the reasons I don't want to bother playing CF is because they still do. No Imm has ever ruined a char for me, but I'll be damned if a lot of players haven't come real close. And what's worse, the point of those players always comes across as playing to do exactly that, to ruin other people's fun in CF because CF isn't what they want it to be.
But no, it's clearly the Imms fault that players stop playing.
In fact it's always someone elses fault.
Never our own.
The very fact that I have such a negative view of CF these days sucks, cause I really did enjoy the game once. For the life of me though, I don't know how.
