That being said, good luck getting that shit passed in the US. Obamacare took a majority house, majority senate, and a Democratic president to push through, and even then it became a point of massive political contention.
It was a part of the Republican "obstructionist" movement where instead of cutting compromises and making the best of what they got, they instead spent enormous amount of time and energy demonizing the whole thing and turning it into a political platform. It's why Republicans and Democrats have such wildly polarized view of Obamacare - most voters have exactly zero insight into the healthcare industry as a whole, so Republicans kind of take Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh's word when they say that the all the problems in healthcare are because of that downright evil socialist Obamacare, while Democrats as a whole kind of take the word of their leaders that Obamacare is working and has insured millions of Americans and is ultimately desirable.
In reality, Obamacare does suck in a LOT of ways, its just waaaay better than the shitshow which came before it. But who cares about the welfare of their constituency, when there's political points to be scored?
