We've been brainwashed in this country to think that if you are rich it's because you work harder, are smarter, and worthy of worship. If you are poor it's because you are lazy, dumb, and a bad person. Having had a few months of running with the mega rich out of college, most of them are just completely out of touch with reality and would never make it in the real world if they weren't handed their lives by their grandparents and great-grandparents estates. It's a fucking joke, the rich have turned the middle class on the poor as if they are somehow responsible for the shit state our country is in except it's the rich who run everything and their unrelenting greed that have caused this. I have never met a CEO and I've worked for a good handful that deserved anywhere close to the insane salaries they now make. In fact most of them seemed like borderline sociopaths, but that's what is valued these days. Idiots who think Donald Trump is some kind of business genius because he inherited the company from his dad and then used his political connections to push all kinds of shady fucking deals that fucked over tax payers. When someone pays no taxes into the system but is worth billions they are to be admired for their smart business sense, but the guy on food stamps who use it to buy beer is the true threat to our society. I find the weird divide in this country frightening, most people used to be more centrist but now I feel like you have to be some bleeding heart liberal who needs a fucking safe space to discuss gender labeling or a heartless conservative who thinks their lord of the flies attitude towards their fellow Americans is what Jesus would have wanted. Which BTW I think hysterical that conservatives can actually twist their greedy shitty view of the world into Jesus's teachings, talk about mental gymnastics. Anyway we are fucked, the best Americans can do is try to survive the machinations of the rich and powerful since we have pretty much zero say in what happens anyway so all this debate is moot.
