QuoteKstatida He'd have to berserk while fighting the dire wolf. Bollocks. He had at least 2 other options. What were they? If he berserked fighting the Wolverine, he'd eat a rake and probably die. If he berserked fighting the Lich, the wolf would show up and bite his ass.. plus he'd eat a round against a potentially nasty Inner. QuoteKstatida Which would have just barely gby Java - Log Board
I misread that deathblow as a parting blow, not the next round of combat. So you're right, Dhuzir stayed in combat for a round longer than he needed to, while writhing. That said - that DEVAS deathblow also proves why a bloodthirsting villager shouldn't flee just because they think they're close to death. Given that he was thirsting, he has a better chance at killing Dhuzir thby Java - Log Board
He'd have to berserk while fighting the dire wolf. Which would have just barely given him enough HP to survive past the berserk lag. Then you want him to retreat? That's another round of lag which may have killed him outright. Otherwise, sure. Maybe he gets past the dire wolf with a couple HP to spare. Then he has to get past the Lich. Retreat again? Sounds like you're just changing your story every time someone tells you how utterly stupid your idea is. Thanks for contributing though. I mean it.by Java - Log Board
Ragast fled when pincer-lag wore off and ate a parting blow that killed him. Dhuzir fled as soon as pincer-lag wore off and came back 2 rounds later to kill him. I'm starting to think you don't understand logs when you read them.by Java - Log Board
You wanted him to berserk against the wolf, then retreat? So you want him to stick around for 4 rounds, when he didn't have enough HP to survive 2? MAYBE that gives him enough HP to survive those extra rounds, and maybe retreat works.. but he's still got to get past the Lich and all the mobs in the way, while he's about as close to death as he can get, without the hsifter showing uby Java - Log Board
You're telling me that you think this guy could have survived given this situation? Given that you're also the guy that things lagging someone when you're losing melee is a good idea, I guess I'm not surprised.by Java - Log Board
One was in Battle and went 117-100, in over 500 hours with 3 legacies. The other was in Nexus and he went 34-15 in almost 700 hours, also with 3 legacies. I wouldn't call either of those phenomenal. Doryur was decent recently but not even remotely a powerhouse, and considering the player that's pretty damning in itself. There's a dozen or so mobs between where he was at and the Village. Plenty of time for the shifter to walk up to the healer, heal blindness, and flyto or even send himself home, heal blindness, and fly back. Only real shot was to stand and fight and hope for some ridiculously lucky DB's. Or mostly just accept his fate and decide to go the Berserker way out of fighting, rather than ruby Java - Log Board

A decent player is decent regardless of what they play. Hell, Shaapa made a moderately successful gnome warrior not long ago.. and gnome warriors are supposed to be awful. He didn't dominate many fights (at least, that I saw), but he still managed to do ok. If you can handle playing with a handicap, you'll probably enjoy it.by Java - Main Board
If it's a role about being a Maran or Battlerager and you know you won't be able to kill, you'll probably just be frustrated the entire time. But it's entirely possible to play a fun character that isn't entirely reliant on (winning) PKs. Plus, you never know.. you might surprise yourself. Pretty sure when I first got inducted I was told it was Drillmaster Zah's requirement. Maybe it did originate with one of them though.by Java - Main Board
Zah also made it mandatory that every member of the Village write a note about where to find magical items to thicken the veil. Which would be a task literally impossible for a newbie to accomplish in their own. Of course, like literally every task you've been given, you can solve it by looking around and asking people questions IC.by Java - Main Board
Both bloodstone rings, hummingbird pendant, strange bracers, lash belt, both primary weapons plus anything that Fugmada or someone else might have taken. That's the majority of the truly "good stuff", and without it her set really isn't anything special. In other words, this log shows that it wasn't just the set that won fights for her.by Java - Log Board
Regardless of role? Seems like you have a tendency to play characters with beliefs that are completely opposite of your cabal choice, and you want that to be forgiven. Read "help scarab cabal" and basic reading comprehension tells you that addictions are not going to be acceptable. They're all about freedom to do what you truly wish to do. Obviously, you can't do that if yoby Java - Main Board

You take 7 words completely out of context, from a 400-ish hour character, and somehow that proves that Drissa hasn't earned those rewards? Seriously? Do you honestly believe that? I'd like to know what you truly think, because if you do this probably isn't a conversation worth having.by Java - Log Board
The argument is whether it's favoritism of characters or players. People were bitching about the rewards I received as Tamhas. Yet I've never interacted with Korsgaard before (aside from a failed Paladin from several months back), and this is the first character beyond 30 that I played from this IP. So why did I get those rewards? It isn't because I'm Java (as if that woby Java - Log Board
Either way, I don't have an American IP and I do just fine. So do plenty of other people. The difference is that I don't cheat and I don't go out of my way to make other players miserable. Because on another thread today you were saying that 2 vs 1 is definitely not a gank. I suppose the rules are different depending on which side of it you're on?by Java - Log Board
Every post you make is whining about something. It's pitiful and annoying. Look at your own communication in this very log. Do you honestly think you're one of the good parts of this game? Do you honestly think that people enjoy interacting with you? Do you think Imms enjoy watching you interact with others? Are you honestly this surprised that no one likes you? You can go visible with any individual thing, or all the things (ie, "vis sneak" means you'll stop sneaking, but still be hidden. "vis duo" means you'll drop out of duo, but still be invis, etc.). "Vis" by itself removes all of the stealth affects. By doing "vis hide", you drop out of hide, but you're still sneaking (assuming you were to bby Java - Main Board
Is that you were asking around OOC for help finding your sleeks. So you're perfectly ok with using OOC knowledge to benefit your character, but if someone uses OOC knowledge against you, you have a problem? Hypocrisy, much? No idea how that would work with Monk abilities though. I assume they would either all be fine or none of them would be, depending on how the code treats your useless hand. Easy enough to test - just level up to 10, dedicate and see if avoid ever fires.by Java - Main Board
