Had cool forms, but the mud just isn't what it used to be. Or maybe I changed. The thrill isn't there anymore. Lack of playerbase is definitely a contributing factor. Also the fact that I was just really lazy in putting in a role.
I have two more ideas that I may try out soon, but for now, I don't really get as much out of the mud as I used to.
Didn't meet any douches, b
You gotta weight the pro-con. I didn't get fire control until I hit 51.
Level 36 - 41
Pro: Typically easier kill, less likely that you will lose your weapon, no need to massively go abs to get kills through iceball spam
Con: No iron grip (unless level 40), likely no barrier (deathblow/wrath still hurts), chances of getting more than 1 charge, if that, per kill is low, less people to pk
It was all in good fun - I went in thinking I can get at least one kill (happened a lot of time - a good 50% of my life was me versus 3 fortress, or 2 v 3 fortress, etc.)
Yea, I was kinda hoping you'd do some rp thing, but alas, wasn't meant to be.
I was gonna quit (had the trigger up so I can quit asap), had power of damned up (stupid power didn't work), went to the bathroom
I didn't count my charges like previous times (no logs either, sorry) - I'd say I had about 85-95 charges when I deleted. It wasn't an axe, it was a whip - I think I had about 220 hours total, but I must've had the whip for a little over 100 hours? I know it was after I was in hero range. Re: Gedunthos' law, not really - he can do whatever law he wants, but my rp as a Des
Fighting Halifan, I got muddled somehow. But it doesn't add 4 rounds of lag. Adds another round?
Frankly, I would hate fighting someone who can muddle. I told the imms that I'm fine with whatever they take out (as long as I don't lose my souls again). Honestly, I just wanted to keep my souls + parting blow. I don't really care about the other side effects.
I'm 75% c
1) I don't know what muddle is. I knew that it mental jolted occasionally, suspected that it did -moral somewhere (there were rounds when it programmed EVERY time against Dwybaen towards the end of fights) - I thought it was kinda like STSF. Didn't know about mana drain, knew about fear.
2) Light, gave parting blow. The parting blow part was what really drew me. Fire giant + whip = n
Mmm..I don't know what you mean by notorious...
Kharnial -> Unholy nightmare. That was a few years ago.
Mhoursfen -> TWOI. Never used it though...Was also a scarab follower for 200+ hours.
Ghrummin -> special, kinda weak, weapon. But cmon, Ghrummin was freaking awesome, even by my standard. You can't really fault them.
Knac -> Long long lived commander, badass
Uh, m
So, once again, the lull of the mud sucked me in. But test season is starting soon, and I have a shitload of catching up to do.
This character highlighted NOT to look at forums while mudding. Seriously, people bitching about this and pointing fingers without any understanding of shit turned a rather fun character to something where I had to think about whether I wanted to use this "op&quo
But I can understand that - towards the end of Knac, I was just tired of the character so I went a bit suicidal.
The brief stint we had with Achkhrach and Ruk was really fun - it could've been a contender!
Kudos on an extremely renowned and memorable character. I imagine its one of those characters where you're like 'I got this - I beat CF my own way'
Hope they had a
For me, the biggest thing besides trip was the fact that it can run. Besides the overbeefed tiger I had with Kharnial, and maybe rhino, I like dire wolf the best. I remember handing Malakhi his balls a few times with it. Of course it needs abs.
That's what I thought it was, but it's not.
I cast it on myself cuz I was curious - only saw - dex, - hitroll, and I could sleep/rest. Maybe cuz I saved? Dunno.
Dolorous Coil -> Not sure what it does when it affects others (maybe soften-like?), but at level 51, gives +4 dam temporarily to a weapon. I think weapon needs to be in your inventory (not sure though)
Reject Pain -> Dam redux, can't see certain status
Embrace Pain -> Similar to masochism
Anguish -> Just mental damages + drains some mana - no lingering effects
Wrack -
Too much time invested in the character, not enough time on school = cranky.
Loved the role, loved the character concept, happy with revelation path. Pain path is meh - I should've chosen venom.
There were periods where the lag spike (for some reason) became extremely burdensome - strangely enough, 75% of the times was when I was in the midst of pking (IE last death). Combined with the
As far as I know, it doesn't even say "mages first", just "kill mages". You're talking about an ordering system, which really doesn't exist unless the commander or battle imms make it.
You clearly have a skewed view of what "true enemy" is. There's the tablet "true enemy", and there's the atmospheric/current "true enemy". Commander's job is to balance them.
Don't like it? Go play a villager, be the commander, and restrict who can be attacked and who can't. That's what I did with Knac.
Orcs kill villagers as much as villagers kill mages/orcs. This was fine.
As far as your "justification" is concerned - he was in voralia, thought that an orc is in the orc village, checked, found, and killed. How can you qualify what "hunting a mage" is? Should he check every area in the game to "hunt" the mage?
FYI, if we were to take your stance of "hunt
1) I'm not apologizing. I construed what you said to be a potshot.
2) I agree that it's not worth starting a flame war over
3) The game IS boiled down to numbers. HP, Mana, etc. You have 0 hp, you're dead (technically -10). It's inherent in the game. In fact, it's inherent in the way most pk muds are programmed, whether "rounds" are based on ticks or otherwis
And I quote "And fun takes 2nd place to game mechanics once again. How disappointing. (n/t)"
Way to start the asshole trend in a otherwise constructive argument.
"I was just tweaking you with it because you were being a fucking twat." -> Right back at you.
On a much lighter note, you're stating that counting "ticks" is ridiculous - why should anyone
Yea stupid.
Once again, not mutually exclusive.
It's not a sliding scale of RP to PK. It's do really well in PK and do really well in RP. Whether learning how to emote, how to count ticks, or whatnot.
To dumb it down for you, just because you kick ass in PK does not necessarily mean you suck balls in RP. Or vice versa.
You're reading wayy too much in the "order&quo
