Im the horrid noob that was always hanging around that you had mercy on. Playing my first character in a few years and you were always a blast to hang with. Super sad to see u go.
that giant in galadon is great tho amirite? I dont know about going to hell for a merc. I think the only time I was even close to there was back in like 2005, and I seem to remember having to pay the ferrymen to get over the lake or something.
Been some years since I played. Checked the forums a few days into the character and saw all these "CF is dead" threads. CF is way more fun if you dont interact with the offline community. So much negativity. Having a good time in game.
Hey man, since u cant recieve pms, here ya go. I havent played in a couple years, but heres some stuff I used to roll in.
Fingers: Either skull/garnet rings from aldevari, or the +4 hit rings from killing all the rats in the sewers, then killing the rat king
or whatever it is.
Neck: dragon necklaces bought in udgaard, or wool cloaks from those shops north or the large crossroads on easter
I didnt quit CF cold turkey. It was casual loss of interest, then quitting all together for months at a time. After not playing for nearly a year I came back to give it a try, and quit after a couple short lived characters. CF would have to change so dramatically it wouldn't even be CF anymore for me to start playing again. It would be a game where there were no level grinding, no huge time
The helpfiles aren't super clear, so hopefully some of you guys will be willing to help me out. The helpfiles suggest a savage ranger benefits from wearing little to no clothing, and is penalized while wearing metal armor. So should one be running around nude all the time? Or maybe all in leather/cloth armor? What kind of benefits do they get for not wearing armor?
Savage blow is a skill
A lot of his points are why I don't play CF anymore. I can't compete with the small community that still hangs on to CF. The gap between newbie or even moderate players like me, to the majority of whats left of the playerbase is too extreme. I don't care to change CF, I've just moved on to other things that better suit my time and enjoyment.
but I probably wouldn't be running up with no bash protection. If you're villager, find a way to change the playing field. Go under water. Move him away from his pet. Lure him into orc aggro mobs. etc etc
The skill system is similar to CF, and the rules apply to any campaign setting. The books are really cheap compared to D&D and the like, so its easy for everyone at the table to have their own copy.
have some damn balls when things get "unfair", instead of coming to OOC forums to weep your vaginal juices all over the place. I don't have a character atm, but I'm thrilled there's a good sway of power between good and evil once in a while.
CF isn't a fair place, which is part of the reason it's so fun. If you don't want to be ganged down by a cabal/al
You recite a book of spells.
An arc of electricity jumps from your outstretched finger to ME!
You trample around loudly again.
Your arc of electricity MASSACRES you!
You point a finger at ME, and a jet of flame whooshes forth!
Your jet of flame CHARS you!
You have been KILLED!!
You have died, but the Carrion Fields are not finished with you yet!
Your soul is returned to the realms in th
I always see dwarfs in CF as a dying race. At least culture-wise. In Mortorn they're all but taken over by the underdark by mining too deep, and in the Golgalath pass they're being butt raped by orcs. Akan seems to be a kind of sub-area of Mortorn, and doesn't seem to be in great shape. And all the other dwarfs scattered around in other areas are kind of nomadic and fade into whate
So on the radio lately there's been a ton of stuff about some big cellphone companies from the US moving into Canada. They're all against it claiming there will be job losses and other unsavory things. My assumption is that the cellphone companies here are charging up the arse, and stand to lose a ton of business to a cheaper, bigger, company. So my question to you guys is what do you g
The combat and mechanics are a little simplistic, but they were smooth, well balanced, and IMO weren't the center point of the game. The storyline was great, and they did a really good job representing the shadowrun universe.
If you're going in expecting the depth of the Pen and Paper game, you're going to be dissapointed.
