Did the char challenge as an outlier because it seemed like fun after a few years of not playing CF and I knew my playtimes would be severely limited with two kids. I had some fun, but the char itself was so very painful to play. I spent 50% of my time solo ranking with a merc, and the rest messing with Sel and Cexonza.
Was supposed to follow Rashael and try to join Entropy. Hence the whole I tr
You're just not going to get slept since you should have 100+ saves and spellbane.
Grand nocturne, and if they word, which they will, just chase them to their recall, or slaughter their horde.

Cause with Death Blow and Call Blood, they might even have a way out, which makes it somewhat interesting to read or participate in. It's not just an instant win like the others are.
But a defender or scout. Meh, they just take longer to die, and it ends up being far more boring to read a log of or participate in even.
Oh look, we alternated trips, bashes, whatever, and after enough rounds
Yes, only hero matters for the most part. The mid ranges can be fun, but I always found there was usually an inequity in power level in builds in those ranges, where by hero most things have levelled out between characters so that you can hold your own, even if you'll never win, in a majority of fights.
But then, you char dies and you have to grind it all out again just to get back to th
CF would be a better place, sort of, if sportsmanship was required, but it isn't. It would probably also be a bit more dull of a game though, if everything ended with good fight, and there was no real risk in dying.
And there will always be the rare griefing assclown players that drive people away or turn them off to CF, just as there are in every multi player game across time.
But to a m
If they did that, people would come back. Hey you've made it to rank 51 solo in 87 hours Mr. Gnome shifter. Umi said no way you could do it in under 100 hours on a def/def shifter without porc. You get two quests forms of your choice, three legacies, seven edges and the aura and barrier spells on tap. Now go see if you can PK that Storm paladin with six virtues, emperor powers and DB who is
He assigns interested players characters, (I guess just names and build) with a general story line, but leaves it to them to fill out the role specifics.
Seems like players can request to be a be a more central char or a support char.
I think more details are on officials.
Not sure how he is actually running it or when it starts, he just asked people interested to email him.
And nothing is ever changed from it from what I saw.
I've handheld more than a few people through area explore quests. I've had Imms show up while doing so. Never got punished or anything negative from it.
Because I thought that is the exact point of things like area explores and quests, to foster IC interaction between people.
I would hope nothing done in an IC fashion has led to
Now we know who caused the Pwipe. He didn't want Ahtiehli to surpass his spot on the chart.
Then he would only be 2 and 4 instead of 1 and 3.
I think Mharl was a great char though. Didn't play with Kostyan.
I think he was better than most of those people. Actually Daev was the best I ever saw.
Say what you want, and maybe it was cause he knew how almost everything worked in CF, b
And if you delete, nothing lost. If you stay, that means you're having fun and CF benefits from another player in Thera. win win.
Where as right now, you, like myself, probably wouldn't even bother with that much most likely. I know the under 20 environment will not provide me with a sustained gaming experience I find entertaining.

I can write a post at work since I can type quickly (Thanks to years of playing CF!)
These days, I'm past looking to Imms for solutions, as I think a lot of us former players are. Like you said, the ones who maybe could change things are not inclined to or do not have the time to. The lesser Imms can do a little with the RP environment, but nothing systemic. Even a cabal shake up though o
I found CF tedious, kind of dull, and ultimately repetitive (oddly enough the only thing I found interesting was playing the same build over and over, cause I liked it and always hated trying new ones) in terms of how CF played out. I did have moments of fun, but those became increasingly sparse over time. But I think okay, am I willing to put up with the more tedious aspect of CF to hero a char
would be if maybe 5-10 former players all made a casual agreement to start playing around a set period each day for a few weeks. Which maybe Emnon's challenge will do.
If 10 people commit to trying to play a few nights each week during the 7-9 EST range, I imagine CF would liven up and other people would also probably join in.
Players leaving does create a downward spiral, but people joini
So thanks for that.
Though I was looking not really for just titles, but how do you as a player tend to react when you get one or see someone with one.
Does it enhance the RP environment for you?
I think most of us like them, but since they are almost always outside of our control as to if we get one or what they will be, do players tend to let those titles inform their RP to a degree, or do you just treat them as sort of cosmetic fluff? Since custom longs seem to be far rarer, I'll leave those out of the discussion. And if you see someone with one, does it impact how you might inter
I don't play CF anymore, and when I did tribs were never a problem for me to begin with because 90-95% of them are never a threat even if you are wanted, hell you can just exploit, and being flagged is at most a mild inconvenience once you know what you are doing. I struggle to remember anytime I ever died to a trib when wanted once I figured out how to move around in CF. All trib does it re
and Trib is a crappy cabal because of it.
Mortals decide on a whim what is and is not flaggable.
Justiciar, Vindicators, all you need. Actually, just vindicators, and an auto flag system.
And I love the whole become Provost and change things point, since it is false. CF has no common law history that is built upon or deferred to that I ever saw. When was the last time you heard I cite to yo
Bards are my best frame of reference since I rarely played anything else. I imagine maybe being a justiciar would be a little more fun and able to get to the bottom of things, but the general trib is too limited, and let's be honest, how many of them are really inclined to investigate for potential crimes that all of CF knows can not really be proven.
But, real investigation requires ther
One was trying to say any offensive song ever is basically flaggable, even if nobody gets harmed by it. Because it might harm someone I didn't know was there, or I might be trying to harm someone I am unable to see.
Which is bullshit, but yeah, some tribs just make it up as they go.
I've also been warned about revealing tribs who sit in hide. Something about interfering with their
So not quite 8 years.
Unless you were playing her Imm for her at the end. In which case, thanks for the tattoo.
Pity she stopped, she was a fun Imm. Course, you were a fun mort a lot of times too.
Actually a lot of CF and the players were fun.
And then it wasn't.
I blame myself.

As I don't think iceneedles counts as a magic damage type so would be preferable against a duerg in general. I think it counts as physical, piercing.
So yeah, he's hitting a "vuln" by virtue of it being of one of the elements the duerg is not innately resisting. But that just would mean normal damage, not enhanced damage, which is what vuln means. That's like saying eart
